Is it stopping after 1:32 for anyone else? Fist minute and a half are outstanding, though.

Expanded audio of this would be great -- maybe even full shows on CD and DVD (weren't there two filmed?). Would definitely be the icing on the cake after the 4-DVD set. The jam session (I believe it's DVD No.2) is really mind-blowing. Keith and Clapton just laying it down -- just doing what they do, not playing for an audience, trading licks, solos, Keith gliding along so effortlessl

Is there a Web site/link with info on how to order this and other quality SB releases, by this label or others anyone could recommend? I understand it's tricky business being boots and all, but I'd like to get some "real" (non CD-R or MP3) versions of some of these recordings. I'm in the US, and needless to say, not a lot of record stores left in which to buy these ty

QuoteSilver Dagger QuoteBusch1 ..so as long as people are still going to buy CDs, why not just make all new releases and reissues SACD? Might get a bump from those of us craving this type of listening experience, and regular CD buyers would even be getting a superior product. You should market that idea. I don't think you can copy the SACD layer when burning so that would make people bu

Both SACD and DVD-Audio are outstanding formats, and you can get a good player for a very reasonable price now. I notice a clear difference even playing SACDs through two channels, and in a surround mode, it's truly outstanding. DVD-Audio is great as well, and I think a lot of players you get now that have one have both. Unfortunately, as stated above, it seems like these formats have larg

Thanks for this. Good find. I enjoyed the read very much. Nice to see a newspaper devote some space to a good interview, and it was a well-written article. Not sure why so many comments here focusing on a throw-away line about what did or didn't happen with Mick's '88 tour plans with all the other interesting things written here. And from what I understand, the writer's assert

I believe all American Strats and Teles were 21 frets up until about 1986 or so, then went to 22 -- I guess maybe the change came when Fender started manufacturing in Mexico and overseas? Since then, made in USA Strats and Teles (new models anyway, not including reissues or special editions, etc.) have had 22 frets. Might have started a year or two earlier on Strats than Teles, but I'm not 1

I disagree with much of what's said here - Beat Em' Up and Naughty Little Doggie are both very good albums. Mostly basic balls-to-the-wall rock. I even prefer Beat Em' Up to Skull Ring, Especially the title track - good stuff. Lots of classic Iggy rants and loud, raunchy guitars. His shows in 2001 in support of Beat 'Em Up were among the best Iggy performances I've seen.

The bashing of Keith -- and Mick and anyone else -- here is just ridiculous. Number one, to make any real judgement of how they played on this number via this video is literally impossible (not a knock to the poster/person who directed us here; much appreciated, and I enjoyed it, but hardly fodder for any sort of real critique). From the sound that could be made out, they seemed to be dead on --

Outsanding pics! I'd also like to know what kind of equipment you used, settings, etc. These look like they were taken with professional-grade equipment, but I'm guessing that would be next to impossible to get in? If you have any tips, please share! I'd love to get some shots like this when I go to the AC show.

I think it would work very well live, with Keith singing harmonies like he does on ABB.

JJF Brown Sugar (I know Mick wrote it, but Keith put his signature on it; and it's probably the greatest rock 'n' roll intro/riff ever) Dance Little Sister Can't You Hear Me Knockin' Hand Of Fate

One I'd like to see back in the set is Infamy. I don't understand why Keith has abandoned that one. It came off GREAT live during the fall leg in North America last year. I've loved the song since I first heard it (IMO, one of the best songs on the album). But I had my doubts as to whether they'd pull it off live. To my pleasant surprise, they really knocked it out. He used the '72 Tele all-black custom EXTENSIVELY at Hershey. Going to Philly tonight and hope he's got it out again. When was the last time he used this piece? Winos 92-93? From what I remember in Hershey, Keith used it on SMU, All Down The Line, possibly She's So Cold and some others. He also has a cream-colored '72 Tele custom that he pulled out at least once during

I guess "Lonely at the Top" wouldn't be under consideration for the 71-89 disc becuase it was a Jagger release (although in very altered form)? I have it on boots, probably like the rest of you, but man, what a gem that never made it out. A little remastering on that one and it's a rocker for the ages.

10/10. One of their best. When I saw them at Vet Stadium, Philly, in '97, they totally nailed it. All of them. Keith and Ronnie trading off on the leads, etc. Not one studder. I'd like to see them pull this one out again. I'd work good between She's So Cold and Shattered -- the Stones "sleeze" at its best.
