The 1978 Detroit version from the KBFH broadcast is superior in my opinion because it is played at a faster tempo and Ronnie's guitar work is razor sharp (unlike Hampton '81) The performance has more tension because both Keith and Ronnie are in perfect balance. Mick also seems totally invested in this performance, which can't be said of 1981-82. I also share DGA35's opinion

Great to see an entire track from that era with the camera on Keith. He appears to be shredding with slide from 2.12 onwards. He wasn't using it on Happy in the Ladies and Gentlemen movie (1972). When the song was performed in 75 and 78 Ronnie plays the slide. Was the Australian 73 tour the only time he played slide during Happy?

Being very impressed with with all the APCD remasters I began downloading some of the Bob Dylan ones. Things were going well until I attempted to download Outtakes of Mercy and found that there appears to be a mismatch between the file link and the listed title in the vault. The link is for a Paris 1978 show. Is anyone able to make the necessary correction so that we can all enjoy the Captain

Thanks Gonzolo That's completes my probe into 1978. I'd have to say that of all the audience sourced recordings from that tour that the Chicago show (Tight Dresses) is a notch above the rest at least in terms of fidelity if not performance. Right Shoe Shuffle
