QuoteTornAndFried I was at that show and it was one of my favortes on the Bigger Bang Tour. The best song of the set for me was Sympathy. It totally rocked that night. The best part was during the guitar solo section when both Mick and Keith each climbed high on the right and left offstage staircases up toward the balcony. It was a great moment! Don't know if there is a video of that song on

It was winter 66-67 when the song came out, I was 19 in college.LSTNT was very exciting and different with the piano intro...my friend's father got us 2 tix for the afternoon(rehearsal) show of the Ed Sullivan show.It was a cold January day waiting on line . There were 200-300 screaming fans in the studio. It was fantastic to be up close in the studio with The Rolling Stones. MJ was fantast

I bought a 1980 HD28 about 10 years ago for $1800 and a trade in for $700. The dealer was asking $2500...I tuned her to open G and immediately fell in love as if struck by a lightening bolt.I could not walk out of the shop without having her...my advice is find a Martin you fall in love with and go for the extra $$$. If you amortize the extra $1000-1500 over the next 10-15 years will cost ya abou

Quotemstmst Was at the KC show in 72 - as my buddy put it - 'you could feel the wind coming off their amps' - no shit - loud but good. There was a point in Gimme Shelter after the lead that the guitars both hit the rhythm hard and the intensity was beyond belief. The difference back then was that they really blew thru the songs for maximum impact - 72 was Keith's top moment as

Dear HB I've just read thru this thread and brought smiles as I read about Murry the K(aka the 5th Beatle), listenned all the time in early 60s and during the Beatles entry in US.and early British invasion..He used to talk about a new band in England called The Rolling Stones, sometime in spring/summer of 64 I heard "Tell Me & Not Fade Away" on WINS, that was it from that day

Regret I never saw Traffic back in the day but I did see Blind Faith, Bridgeport Ct 1970 at an outdoor gig. They were Horrible..saw SW & EC at MSG a few years ago , EC was absolutely brilliant that night as SW's guitarist, SW was everything that night, singer, keyboards, guitars, saw him with his solo band several times, you should catch MR FANTASY if you can.
