Let's be realists here - Three 80 year old men on a truncated tour - they are slowing down - will it even be 19 songs this time? It'll be the same set as always with a couple new songs tossed in - FOR NOW - they won't be switching stuff up because it's a LOT OF WORK to do that with a HUGE show - it's all choreographed with the cameras and stuff - i sincerely would

it's a piece of corporate crap - no 'glimmer twins" involvement at all - this Watt guy was in charge and it aint good- a Mick solo album that Keith and Ron get to guest on - I was looking forward to it as much as anyone - hell I've bought every album new since "it's Only Rock and Roll" - but this album is not the gem that everyone is trying to make it

If this piece of garbage is a "hit" i will "eat my hat" like Mick said in "Sweet Neocon" (which actually sounds pretty good compared to this) Cmon - I know everyone (including me) was excited for a new record but this is a "paint by numbers" song that anyone Watt produces could do -

I'm listening to the 2nd CD in the "Some Girls" deluxe edition and hoping that they will eventually press it on vinyl - I have a bootleg called "Some Girls Outtakes" that's sourced from that 2nd cd (so of course not mastered for vinyl and sounds tinny) and of course one side is sadly pressed off center - It would be cool if they would stick that and the 2nd Exile

oh how I was hoping for this official release to sound like side 3 of "Love You Live" - it's a CLUB SHOW from 1977 - why make it sound like it's from a recent arena show ? of course I'm only going by the 2 tracks they stuck out so far - the contrast between side 3 and the rest of Love You Live is what makes it so great to me - as far as purchasing it - i've h

i like how these guys give him a kick in the ass and he "plays" more - it was nice to hear him take the solos - especially in BTMMR and also nice not to see Jeff Beck's old bass player hamming it up on the stage - Seeing this reminded me of how cool it was after the Dirty Work letdown when Talk Is Cheap came out - then he and the Winos went on SNL and killed it showing that the

QuoteSaintPaul Quotecowboytoast Ladies and Gentleman!!!! - Keith Berry No excuse for that shit playing Glad I'm not sitting next to you, Mr Fun! "Mr. Fun" knows it's a load of horseshit - I first saw them in 1978 for about 12 bucks - I don't live in denial - i WANT them to be good - but this isn't - I'm not mad or trying to be negative - I'm SAD abou

QuoteRokyfan Quotecowboytoast QuoteRokyfan QuoteHairball Quoterlj1010 Really, the only thing special about this gig is the relatively small venue size and the fact its the end of the tour (and maybe the last "fill in the blank".) Beyond that, it's remarkably average. I'm local to the Hard Rock and it was killing me that I couldn't afford this one. But I'm no lon

Quotedrwatts QuoteHairball Something seems a bit discombobulated....seems they're not used to the smaller stage after the gigantic stadiums...It must be all Keiths fault. Because he's drunk, smoking cigarettes, smoking weed, has a dirty hat, laughs strangely, can't solo anymore, walks around the stage lost...yadda yadda yadda. Nah we can blame Ronnie too - he's sober and comp

Quotestraycatuk He's a Hero ..............and a drunk . If anyone can think his performance in Austin was a sober one, they are kidding themselves . I've heard all the arguments about "he's experimenting", "he's weaving", " It's what he does" and my favourite " you try playing in a stadium at 77 " The thing is I'm not getti

The guy is 78 - the solo in SFTD was BAD - but the thing is I doubt very seriously he sits around thinking he needs to practice it - or any of it really - but he looks LOST a lot lately - hell even the clip of them playing Jumping Jack Flash in Austin - it looks like they are just watching him waiting for him to start and then once he does he screws it up- Mick has always kept himself together

I've noticed that when Keith starts off a song a little slow that Steve picks the tempo up as soon as the band jumps in - most noticeably on Jumpin Jack Flash tonight (from the clips I saw)

it's obvious to anyone with eyes and ears that he seems to be playing better and more engaged- our friend above mentioned his playing on HTW and I agree - I'm not certain how much he's cut back on the booze- and I know they said that he quit smoking (is this a fact?) -but both of those things would add to his energy level - plus the fact that his dear pal of many years isn'

in the clips i've looked at he seems a lot more engaged in this last run of shows - and to some extent he almost seems happy to have Mick paying some attention to him - almost as if they are friends again - i'm sure they are mindblown and heartbroken and thinking a lot about things- Ronnie is playing lead along with him sometimes - I noticed that in Sympathy especially - Ronnie will

it almost looks like the people that push to get to the very front of the pit wouldn't really be able to see anything - i guess the "sweet spot" would be about halfway back in the pit - when i first saw our boys in 1978 the whole place was general admission which was a little scary because I was a little kid but we got pretty close- by the time they came back in 1989 even after

Back in July on the anniversary of Brian's death I was thinking how crazy it was that not one of them had died in over 50 years - of course someone will say Bobby Keys & Stu & Nicky Hopkins - being the technical & difficult internet expert geeks some people can be- but i mean the core band- Aside from Charlie passing away - which makes me sad beyond words - the worst part is n

Finishing that last record with Charlie's last recorded work would be more of a tribute to him than a tour with a big black cloud hanging over it - For me, I can't imagine these shows being a happy event for the fans or the band - I've dreaded this day for a long time - but it's over - there is no replacing him and trying to go on would be disingenuous - Like it's

I think all that they want to do at this point is get this already delayed run of shows behind them before the holidays and be done with it -aside from Covid & Ronnie's latest cancer scare it now has another bad vibe over it since Charlie won't be there and they are as aware of that as we are - Steve Jordan won't add energy or inspire them to change the set - they will rehe

My personal feeling is that they should postpone - what's a few more months after everything that's happened - that's just me - but I thank God in Heaven that it ain't Grohl sitting in for him - I hope he gets well and rejoins as soon as he is able - they are breaking new ground here - but starting this post covid tour without him leaves me with an uneasy feeling- Long

Hello Gang- Hope all of you are doing well- "Gangster's Moll" (Maul...whatever) is one of those outtake/demo songs that always gets stuck in my head- I know that MJ had rehearsed it around the Primitive Cool era but I could swear that I read that they had worked on this track as late as the Licks sessions- Can anyone verify this or let me know if it was just something I
