Ha, so not an attribution for the information in Wikipedia, just another (funny) variant. Thanks for finding and sharing, Rockman.

QuoteMathijs QuotePalace Revolution 2000 Everyone is going to hear what they hear, but IMO it is plainly obvious that it's 'plug in, flush out, fight, fukc and feed". Totally agree. Mathijs Me too. I can't tell from the studio version, but it's clear in the live ones Mathijs shared. I was wondering how to get the various lyric sites corrected, until I read on K

Quotedrewmaster QuoteAmyl Nitrate "The metaphorical male/female, star/fan love story alluded to in 'Angry'". I didn't realize that before, but it's true. The two verses are from a different point of view than the two choruses:  ... I'm looking at the lyrics and not seeing it. Which are the star, which are the fan? The fan doesn't have a part. The two

I was also leery of reading more into it beyond a song about a broken relationship. In one of the interviews, Mick said he started with being angry with "you" then twisted it to "me". Nothing more. That said, he may have been being coy and I'm warming to the idea that there is more after reading Doxa and this review:  ... If I'm understanding both correctly, I think

I'm surprised this hasn't already been mentioned: Ted Lasso, a U.S. comedy series (on Apple TV) set in the U.K., has a bunch of Stones references including an episode based around "She's A Rainbow". Another episode plays "Yesterday's Papers" and another mentions Mick & Keith. It's a fun show and Jason Sudeikis (Ted) must be a big fan; he even menti

It is like watching TV -- actually more like a drive-in movie -- but I thought it was great (in Charlotte) and the best value. I usually like the side, but it was nice to be center for sound and vision and for one-third the price (albeit far back). I would do it again (or splurge for pit).

QuoteDoxa So seemingly Mick and Bianca had a few weeks holiday in Brazil (late December 1975-mid January 1976), and according to Nico Zentgraf (great additions lately in his Facebook) lived in the house of Brazilian actress and model Florinda Bolkan (familiar name from many golden era Italian movies) during which that interesting session happened. This is something I discovered : According

QuoteDoxa Quietbeatle, thank you so much! That was a very nice interview, Mick was really relaxed and in a good mood. And informative, too. I don't have any reasons to doubt his words about the origin of vocals. It sounds that there've been another session for the song, in where at least Charlie involved, but the tapes were lost. It really starts to look like that the story of "Sca

Quotebam They're advertising pretty heavily on Chicago television. Perhaps ticket sales are disappointing so far? Did they advertise heavily in NY? London? I saw several cabs with Exhibitionism billboards while visiting Chicago last week. (Unfortunately, I had to leave early Saturday before it opened and live too far away (NC) to go back.)

ESPN's coverage of the College Football Playoff National Championship between Alabama and Clemson kicked off Monday night with a couple minutes of "Gimme Shelter". The accompanying video choreographed cheerleaders blowing kisses and players kissing the championship trophy with "it's just a kiss away", and play-by-play man Chris Fowler referred to "Gimme Shelter&

Quotebv I wonder what the total budget for this entire project is, including tickets and payments for six bands, 90,000 people staying at sky rocket hotel prices around us dollars 500 per night, flights, travel, beers and food etc. This must be on of the the highest budget music entertainment projects ever. "could cost $100 million to stage ... deliberately paying the performers a premium

Apparently, 'Stones in the Park' was released on a BMG video sometime in 1983, so it probably should be slotted in between "Going to a Go-Go" and "Undercover of the Night". Agreed on "CS Blues", but you already have it; see #268 Nit: check Four Flicks track order; I think "Rock Me, Baby" is before the others.

Quotesf37 I had included "I'm Yours, She's Mine" because it was included on the "Stones In The Park" DVD release, which I was believing to be an official DVD release: however, I may be mistaken. Is this DVD a bootleg release? If so, you're right, I should probably exclude that song from my list. No, I think you're right. It is an official release, thoug

sf37, I would like to wander into the grey area with a few questions, but first ... Tremendous job by you and Kuntaman. I've got a list which matched up almost song for song and in order, so this was exciting confirmation. (At some point, I'd like to compare actual release dates.) Great idea to strip away alt/edit/promo/remix tracks. (I want to revisit those, though, too.) 1) How

Kuntaman, after comparing your list with this list from chenry9195 and a list I had, I think you need to add the following: Tell Me (single edit) Time Is On My Side (guitar version vs. organ version) The Under Assistant West Coast Promotion Man (censored version vs. uncensored version) Out Of Time (Flowers edit) Street Fighting Man (supposedly an alternate version on original pressings of

Besides interesting discussions - and speculation - about current events, this forum is an abundant source of Stones history and trivia. However, all of the great stories that are shared and lists that get compiled are strewn about. It's not easy to know what's already been discussed or to build upon existing content. As a result, I find myself imagining a wiki with more than the st

First time, long time ... I compiled the following in 2002. Instead of a top-15, my criteria was 45 minutes, since modern albums are too long and as a tribute to the days of TDK SA90s (it was always frustrating when a single LP wouldn't fit on one side of a cassette). Pierced: Life After Tattoo You (1983-1997) 1. One Hit (To the Body) - 4:43 2. Sparks Will Fly - 3:14 3. Love Is Stro
