I like Amnesia! It sounds like Keith being himself and not trying to be Keith Richards. It's the problem i've had with their recent output, always trying to sound like the Rolling Stones rather than doing what they feel like. Keith's done it here, nice one.

Quotegotdablouse Keno discussing Taylor's absence again : - nothing really new since his 31/3 post (it's nobody's fault, not MJ's, not MT's) apart from the fact that his insider friend who gave him the low down is also a friend of Taylor... QuoteI was told by my closest insider and friend of not only mine, but friend of MT The plot thickens... if it's not MJ

Good strong album... was always disappointed with follow up BtB, THAT was over produced IMO. Also enjoyed the MTV specials they had on at the time, the making of documentary, the part with Charlie in the stairwell recording drums

WHY does YGMR even get a look in?? Great track, along with 'out of control'. I have the 12" remix vinyl... Only listened to once!...

I'm not sure the Grammies are a good barometer for the good stuff out there.... I really like the stuff My Morning Jacket are doing, Black Keys, etc,. Award shows are usually pretty mainstream and controlled very much so by music companies. So what you end up with is a lot of backslapping of mediocrity.

Probably Exile though it's not my favourite Stones album.. If I was comparing it'd be Sticky Fingers vs Abbey Road... I don't know which I'd choose!

Most live music recordings are corrected, it's nothing specific to the Stones. I've hung around after classical music concerts where the choir and orchestras then 'patch' parts that could've been better. Personally I enjoy the charm of screw ups!

Shot and performed better than Shine A Light in my opinion. Still hoping for an official Glastonbury DVD......

Of Keith's attire at Glastonbury Frankie Boyle (Scottish comedian) commented, 'Keith Richards looks like a middle aged lesbian on a weekend watercolour painting minibreak'. QuoteRoughJusticeOnYa OK, Rolling Stones fashionistas - I got a question. Ronnie was wearing a long sleeve T-shirt at Glastonbury, that I'd really like to put my hands on; anybody here that can i

Ethan Johns is a good choice, really like his production (simple!) - if I could choose, he would be the one producing the Stones.

QuoteGazza What's the supposed logic behind making this available for only four weeks? Anyone? I remember Jagger saying, think around No Security time, that there really wasn't the market for live albums anymore. That it is only for "die hards". So, by making a live release available ONLY in a small window pushes all of the real stones fans to buy before it is too late. THE

My view is it damaged the atmosphere at the shows... not many energetic young people (think Glastonbury)... though it has been this way since before 50&Counting. Not sure it damaged their legacy though.

A great performance... the best version of Satisfaction I can remember seeing for some time. This bands music is all about energy and passion, less (to a degree) about musicianship. Having a younger enthusiastic audience was a catalyst for this I feel - you could see the band feeding off the energy. It's shame most of that demographic has been priced out...

1hr... it's pretty poor. Curious as to their reasoning... has there been an official word on this from the band?

Status Quo still play their tunes with conviction and give 100%, the same cant always be said from the Stones. I like both bands(their classic years), yes they're both different, but now Status Quo play at a higher level than the Stones. There's never talk of Rossi fluffing a simple chuck berry lick...............

I have wondered if they've been easing Taylor in slowly intentionally, his solo shows pre 50counting tour were shaky, nerves maybe? He looks at home now, relaxed - cyhmk was the most NATURAL Taylor I've seen for a long time. They should get him adtl.

the reason for the two new songs is because typically artist contracts where best of's are concerned stipulate that (usually) two new songs must be provided for the release. they're only recording those songs because the contract says so.

It's great to see Taylor back in there, but his playing at times is way off. There's no energy in the band anymore, which is understandable, but energy was part of what makes this bands music magical. I recently saw a video of Status Quo live on their Frantic Four tour.. can say what you like about the music but these guys still mean it.

I know it's not a 'rare' song... but 'HAPPY' with KEITH AND MICK on vocals! Highwire also gets a vote from me.

Quoteexhpart...I love them but in the end no-one under 40 is that bothered... That's partly because youngsters have no way of affording tickets. I hope they do Glasto, with the same focus we saw at the O2 last year.

They can do what they want (and they are!) - but some people need to curb their expectations on what they can deliver at this late stage. Personally I'd rather see them spend more time in the studio together writing than on the road, but probably that ship has long since sailed.

Missed opportunity, wonder who only felt he was worth being on for two songs.. Uncut - 25.2.2013 Bill Wyman has said he was "disappointed" by his role in The Rolling Stones 50th anniversary shows. The group's former bassist joined the band at their London gigs for two tracks, 'Honky Tonk Women' and 'It's Only Rock 'N Roll (But I Like It)', but he
