QuoteWelshEdge1 QuoteGasLightStreet Speaking of industry incestuousness, I suggest you read more about Tencent’s 9.1 percent stakeholding in Spotify, which is awe-inspiring in its spider’s web of vested interests. The short version: Tencent Holdings is about to own 10 percent of Universal, which in turns owns around 3.5 percent in Spotify, which in turn owns around nine percent in Tencent Music E

QuoteRollingFreak Quotecolonial I'm going to see Queen in February I just hope the concert is better than that awful Bohemian Rhapsody movie I gave the DVD away,it was crap FYI, that response right there is most people. Going to see QUEEN. Not Queen+Adam Lambert, not Brian May (which is really what you're going to see). They, in their minds, think they are going to QUEEN. And that to

Quoteschwonek Quotedcba QuoteTravelinMan How cool would it be if they included the Nicaraguan Benefit in LA or Perth 1973 in quality hi-fi stereophonic sound!?!?! A 1973 European gig would be much more logical, right? I mean isn't there a better place to put a concert that includes HB and/or Mr. D than on a Ghs reissue? Absolutely. eg. London is real gem. And to release Brussels agai

QuoteTKinOH Quote5stringTele If they do re-issue GHS, there might be an exciting addition or two to the setlist. They already play Angie frequently on the B-stage, but we may also get Dancing With Mr D, Doo^5 Heartbreaker, or, wait for it, STAR STAR. I think just seeing them play Star Star live again would be worth the price of admission. I've never gotten Star Star, that would be worth

I've watched a few live Aerosmith shows on DVD over the years and they've never fully clicked with me. Always thought of them as the 70s version of Motley Crue: a few stunning tracks mixed with an awful lot of average crud.

QuoteHairball Here's the current state of the new album - if you study very closely you can barely make out bits of three dynamite riffs, snippets of 40 demos...and even a pieces of a giant wall! The new album is in fact 12 different arrangements of Jigsaw Puzzle.

QuoteDandelionPowderman He had to audition to prove he was fit enough to play, but was turned down by his bandmates. Now he has to pay his replacement (his drum tech) $10.000 a week for rehearsals and $20.000 a week for shows, out of his own pocket. Pretty wild... If his ex-bandmates think he's unfit to play, then they need to pay for a replacement. Seriously, are they still on drug

I still buy a few CDs but mostly stream my music now. I've started converting all my bootleg FLACs to MP3 so I can listen to them via a USB stick in the car during my commute.

QuoteThe Joker Allegedly, the Stones fought hard to keep Wyman, but the Taylor case seems to have been closed in a matter of minutes... Seniority matters? Of course, Wyman was a founding member, and in the band for 32 years in 1994 (or 29 years in 1991 depends what moment one picks for his resignation). Taylor was a member for five years and half, but almost did'nt stop playing during

QuoteRocky Dijon There's a print interview with Mick somewhere in the last 30 years where he allegedly said he wished he had censored himself when he wrote it. Perhaps the reaction of Marsha Hunt or Claudia Lennear to it when it was released? That might also explain why we've never heard Some Girls played live recently.

Quoteretired_dog QuoteMisterDDDD Quoteslewan most likely you are right! Has anyone the guts to test this explanation by trying to sell this version of Ruby Tuesday – just to see what ABKCO is able to do, i.e. if they are able to proof that the song has not been recorded before 1969? The Stones should publish the whole lot of them. "Publishing" them in this manner on YouTube I don

QuoteMrEcho QuoteHis Majesty Quotejlowe Are we to assume these new releases are only copyrighted till 2039 ie 70 years after recording. Rather than 70 years from now? (2089) Yes. Laws might change of course. The recordings are protected for 70 years from the date of release. According to Directive 2011/77/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 September 2011 the situat

QuoteTaylor1 Does anyone know if the Dick Cavett Show filmed the entire July 24,early show at Madison SquareGarden, and not just the opening and closing numbers? Logic would dictate they filmed the entire show. Also , the evening show must have also been filmed because of the video from CS Blues of the Uptite /Satisfaction medley. It would be a shame if these videos are just rotting away in some

There's numerous media quotes attributed to insiders that they're working on tracks and the assumption is then made that these tracks will materialise on an album. Yes, they have - all of them. I listened to Exile a few nights ago and what stands out is the wide range of musical styles the band pulled off with aplomb. The run of Tumbling Dice>>>Sweet Virginia>>>Torn and Frayed>>>Sweet Black Angel>>>Loving Cup is just a sheer delight. Quote24FPS This should be blended into 'What's Next'? There hasn't been whiff about Knebworth. That would seem more different than Atlantic City. I would like to see them both, on Blu Ray. We probably won't be seeing an official Knebworth release any time soon.

During their last UK tour, the Stones even flew from London to Birmingham, a 2hr 25min drive. They arrived by helicopter at Twickenham from central London. When the mega-wealthy ditch their tiny trip private and 10 mile helicopter rides, I'll know they're being sincere, not just cynically jumping on a highly visible political message to get more traffic and likes.
