They should not be co-opted into take sides in a war. They are a band, not a propaganda outfit. Imagine Russia doing this with their bands, it would be correctly denoounced as cheap propaganda.

Wonder if they will change their set list? Someone made a weird choice to include Wichita Lineman in their last tour. Fingers crossed for more killer, less filler this time.

I'd love to see Bruce live but am worried about one thing. Does he spend the entire show singing like he's taking the world's longest, hardest shit or does he take it down a notch for a few songs?

This show is a quick and easy release. And that makes perfect sense when you understand that their window of opportunity to monetise these shows is shrinking rapidly as their core demographic dies off.

Quotecrholmstrom I read that Larry Mullens Jr said that if U2 tour in 2023 it won't be with him. Interesting as U2 was Larry's band originally. He says he has some physical stuff to sort out. There has been a rumor about U2 opening the new concert only arena in Vegas next year. I wonder what this announcement means for that. Yeah on the face of it, I can't see them touring sans L

Quotedrewmaster I really wish I could agree with the above posts, but Hot Stuff leaves me stone cold. A flaccid beat, directionless melody, and forced vocals are all I can hear. The sound of a band that's lost its way. Drew Yep for sure. Just another attempt to try and sound relevant.

Quotesaltoftheearth As it was all over the press, Pink Floyd has released many live recordings from 1972 to prevent them from fallin into public domain. Why don't the Rolling Stones do this? Does that mean that they have lost the right s on the 1972 live recordings? And/or can we hope that tehy will release live recordings of their greatest tours of all - 1973 throughout? Just askin

QuoteDoxa QuoteNilsHolgersson When I turned Youtube from a tele, they offered me this clip as a first choice. Algorithm knows me very well... A not that bad version at all, but then I let the algorithm do whatever it wants, and I was offered "Parachute Woman" from R&R CIRCUS, "Tumbling Dice" from LIVE IN TEXAS 78, and "Black Limousine" from LEEDS 82. And wh

But will tobacco possession be made illegal? If it remains legal to possess then they shouldn't have some the same problems caused by making other drugs illegal. The drug cartels won't miss a business opportunity and with black market involvement comes the elimination of quality control and the absence of age controls. I gave up 15yrs ago and I would strongly discourage anyone fr

QuoteDoxa QuoteStonedRambler Quoteribbelchips QuoteStonedRambler Quoteribbelchips Maybe I'll buy the Blu-ray disc. Assuming it's at least 1080P resolution and in widescreen this time? It must be, right? I skipped Licks in New York, Copacobana and Bridges to Buenos Aires since I have more than enough 'Vegas Stones' liveshows and I hardly listen to them (and even then I skip

QuoteDoxa Consulted my memory and Gazza's set list site. Some positive points: - 23 songs. That's more than usual (since A Bigger Bang Tour it's been, say, 18-20 tunes typically). This seems to be an important feature for some people. - they started with "Get Off of My Cloud". That was an unique thing at the time before they stuck back to the 'obvious' op

OT but the Stones are missing a big trick in not releasing all of the live shows they've been recording for years. What's the point in recording them just to keep them hidden away? The market for these shows dwindles with each passing year.

Quotewhitem8 Why in the hell don't they release the Some Girls deluxe on vinyl! I love the bonus disc, and actually they could have released that as a separate album ala Tattoo You! It is so good! Especially, Fiji Jim! ROCKIN! Hardly worth it for the 10 people on IORR who will buy it.

Yes. I've got the complete Largo show but the sound and video quality is appalling. But higher quality does exist - watch the clip of BTMMR from Knebworth that featured on 25x5. Knebworth and San Diego are on YT but incomplete.

QuoteGasLightStreet U2 is possibly starting a tour in June of 2023, with several shows scattered throughout the tour at the MSG Sphere starting in the late fall in November. Apparently there's also one being built in London. It will make the iMax theatres a joke. Yes they are building an MSG Sphere in Stratford, east London.
