PJ ends their set with Yellow Ledbetter . . . Ed's voice is kinda shot, McCready sounds good, melodic solo and the little wing tag is nice.

I like it. Its a good document for 75 (although Buffalo or Toronto would have been nice ) When I feel like a 75 fix, I will listen. I made a playlist of best sounding 75-76 for this weekend's work outs, alot of fun to re-visit those years, I have given up on ctitiquing the band's performances . . . When I listen to the Stones its to satify a craving; whether it be 72, 81, 73, 69

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, man is rock is dead . . . Mick Jagger playing in the white house, whaaaaaaaaaaaaa? Well, ok I've accepted it and I've accepted the vegas stones as "it is what it is" and in that mind frame: I thought Jagger was good. I enjoyed it, however, why Miss You at a blues show? I would have perferred a blues number, a stones blues . . . Actually I would have

Last week, a few couples gathered for some fine wine, pizza, and the Stones. The guys were my old friends from high school . . . One is a musician, and both of them are avid stones guys, however, both haven't really watched many stones dvds or youtube stuff, not like some of us!!! So we put on the DVD, and we all enjoyed the first few songs. We were discussing the stones' 77-83ish er

Quotevermontoffender Review Brussels Official Release Pacific Coast Branch As the second chorus of Honky Tonk Women finishes, and Keith's seminal solo begins, Mick Taylor gets caught noodling. And what does he do, having to suddenly abort another superfluous, note-filled run? Does he shit-kick the hell out of some honky-tonk rhythm while Keith (finally) gets a chance to lay down a sol

QuoteGazza Quotedrewmaster Can someone PLEASE explain to me why the version of YCAGWYW that Google has posted is different from the version that I have in my collection? The version in my collection (from 'Brussels Affair Definitive Edition') doesn't have Mick saying "ain't that peculiar" and "sing it pretty" after the first "you get what you need&q

I was blown away! I've seen the bootleg many times but this was stunning and in your face! just as I have always remembered the Stones. I was hooting and hollering in the theater (if you saw it in Revere, MA that was me . . .) They were just so good back then, ahhhh youth!!!! As for the crotch grabbing comments, well, its interesting that the filmakers left that in (but thats another

QuoteBluzDude Quoteab The five or so shows I saw from '06 to '10 were all right around 2 1/2 hours. You must have hit all the special shows. Example, the 4 shows in L.A. the last tour were all about 2 hours to 2 hours 10 minutes. comparing the set lists (which change each night), the amount of music they played was the same for a majority of their performances. I know there are cer

Quotebrianwalker Quotecrumbling_mice Nothing is new....it's as straight forward as that. Zeppelin were giants, their shows were incredible. Superb musicians and songwriters. Not sure about songwriters. The problem with this whole thing when looking at Zeppelin is thw fact that they stole many of their best songs. They stole a ton for their first 4 albums which are considered their best p

QuoteDragonSky Quote24FPS There was some rust to be kicked off on the Steel Wheels tour, but they finally got it together. Expect the same, maybe more next time around. This will be their longest break in band history. Tattoo You tour, 1982, to 1989 Steel Wheels tour was their longest so far. That's seven years (plus a few months). So far it's been four years. It won't be seven y

Here is one from PJ; Ed stops the song at 00:48, not much of a big deal, he has done it a few times as well as stopping shows if he sees someone go down and not come back up . . . they stop at 1:59; and then at 3:52 this crowd of stoned Gen X'ers actually complies with a request to take a few steps back; man my generation did actually listen sometimes

QuoteGazza QuoteEdith Grove Question for Londoners, or anyone else that is more knowledgeable about Hyde Park than I am: I assume that Ronnie is (supposedly) talking about "re-creating" the show at Hyde Park itself. Do you think that Hyde Park is currently capable of hosting an event such as this, particularly if it was a free show? I'm assuming that, free or not, there coul

I have been saying this for many years, but I would love if the Stones followed the old Grateful dead model, Do a Spring tour and/or Fall Tour or Winter Tour and/or Summer Tour every year or two. Pearl Jam, I know, I'm sorry, because of the band members getting married and having kids the last few years have been doing it like this: 2007: few shows in U.S.; Summer festivals Europe 20

QuoteSwayStones It sounds really good ! Thanks for posting . The big "wheel" & the cage don't do it for me though..Was it a TV game ? I'm not sure about the cage Sway, but the wheel is a song list wheel, someone spins the wheel and whatever song comes up, apparently the band plays! Imagine that at a Stones show!!!

QuoteHis Majesty Quotealimente So it's Keith because Keith said so? In the same interview, I recall Keith stating that one of the Winos played him the boot with this version that he "HAD TOTALLY FORGOTTEN" about. Considering Keiths more than hazy state of mind sometimes it is also possible that he simply took for granted what the bootleggers claimed on the sleeve. It's clearly
