I've never seen the Stones in concert. I hope they tour so I can one day tell my kids I got to see the Greatest Rock n' Roll Band in the World perform.

I'm part of what they're calling Generation Y and I even I think new music (Lady Gaga, and other mainstream crap you hear on the radio) is absolutely horrible nowadays.

QuoteJJackFl QuoteRocky Dijon Shirley slept with the drummer and the cartoonist. And drummer and cartoonist slept only with Shirley for his whole life. How sad. How sad? How awesome. Being in the Stones, the guy could of had any hot chick at his disposal for years yet remains faithful to his wife. This is just one of the reasons I like Charlie and dislike Wyman.

My friend and I still do the "Mick Jagger thrust" all the time. Got an "A" on a midterm? Thrust. Asked a girl out and she said yes? Thrust. Just beat a friend at some video game? Thrust. What is the "Mick Jagger thrust"? Check out 0:20-0:23 and 1:48-1:51

I had no idea he's been playing Key to the Highway in concert. I hope he plays it on Wednesday; it's one of my favorite blues numbers.

I'm hoping it will be a good performance. Someone wrote this was his setlist very recently at Hisense Arena (Melbourne) on 04-16-2011: See That My Grave is Kept Clean, Every Day I Have The Blues, When Love Comes to Town, Rock Me Baby, The Thrill Is Gone, When The Saints Go Marchin' In. Sound accurate?

So I'm going to see the legend who is B.B. King next Wednesday here in Hawaii. Anyone have any idea of what his setlist has consisted of this year? I'm sure he'll play the classics (Rock Me, Baby, Everyday I Have the Blues, etc.), but I'd like a heads-up for anything I might not know. I'm so excited!

My favorite album of all-time by any artist. I can't imagine how many times I've played it from start to finish in one sitting. Too many. The songs leave you wanting more, so you keep on listening. From the rocking Brown Sugar to the powerful Moonlight Mile, this is one record that can never be matched.

I think I have PMS # 0003 and #0006 that I bought on Record Store Day. Can't remember the numbers--they're below 0010 though.

Ronnie's a great player. But when he's on the stage with the Stones he likes to jump around and doesn't really give the music much effort. I don't blame him in a way. I can't imagine playing the same song (Satisfaction, etc) hundreds of times and not getting bored.

QuoteTate Nirvana. I have very good friends, and not just folks that were teenagers and twenty-somethings in the 90's, but others, who really think Nirvana was legendary, but I just never got into it. The quiet-loud-quiet-loud dynamic thing got old very quick, and Cobain's whiny voice never sounded honest. To me they were little more than Guns and Roses in plaid. And I never liked G

QuoteCarnaby I honestly feel, and not just because this is a Rolling Stones board, that Jagger in his prime was the best, above all. Otherwise, we get into an apples and oranges debate. In their prime, was Berry better than Dylan? Little Richard better than Faces era Stewart? James Brown better than Otis? Who knows? Little Richard vs. Rod Stewart's sore-throaty voice? Is this a joke?

QuoteMathijs That's not the point, that's not what I said, and that is not the intention of this thread or of the video. These video's on youtube are only to show how certain parts are played -what are the finger settings, what are the positions, how does one go from Epentatonic on the 12th fret to Emajor on the 8th. And this guy just nails to copy the Taylor solo, unlike 99% of ot

Quotewhitem8 Actually i think this list is crapolla! For one they miss some very important milestones. One Dylan going electric. The Beatles stopping touring. The Beatles breaking up. The Stones firing Brian Jones. The Stones not breaking up. David Bowie coming out at being bisexual. Elton John coming out as gay. Really a terrible list that panders to the more contemporary commercial audienc
