QuoteBlueranger I like them all. Mick for his epic performance and songwriting-abilities. Keith for his epic guitar riffs and songwriting-abilities. Charlie for being Charlie and nothing else. Ronnie for his down-to-earth persona and the way he saved the Stones in the 70's. Bill for his memorable bass lines and his ability to write down history. Mick T. for his guitar skills and the

I'm sure that it's no secret who, and what era Stones I'm most partial to cuz of my name ... but I, for one, also love both the Mick T & Ronnie years, and also respect what they both have done for the band!! They both came along at the right time, and brought their talents and expertise to the table. This is just my opinion, of course ... -----------------------------

Quotetatters #82 in the Billboard singles chart, May 1966. The B-side also charted, reaching #95. OOO, I remember this one!! Used to get the biggest kick out of this whenever I heard it on the radio. I seem to also remember seeing her perform this on some show back when this was a hit, like Ed or Smothers Bros or something along those lines. And yes, it WAS a hit! ----------------------

Quotestonehearted This was the set list for The Manning Bowl in Lynn, Massachusetts, on 24 June 1966, which was cut short by rain, after which the fans resorted to rioting, though there are no photos of the band themselves from this gig. Here is an article from the Boston Globe featuring someone who attended the show: Opening act was local Boston band The Mods. Mods drummer

Quotecrumbling_mice He is never going to be the Keith of 1969, just as I won't be the crumbling mice of 1979 when I played my best guitar. But musicians adapt and we focus on our strengths. It was fantastic to see Keith concentrating on laying the rhythm down, he looked like the grandad of Rock n Roll. I prefer this to say the 40 licks or ABB tour where he was posing throughout the show,

Quoteduke richardson QuoteNICOS Quotehockenheim95 I wondered that too and I think it`s Chuck in the piano with a cembalo sound. That's what I hear too...the cembalo is on the original record but only with one guitar so it sound a bit strange as if you hear 3 guitars didnt Brian play a dulcimer on the original? Yes he did -------------------------------

QuoteBlue Quotepft it was unreal! Been waiting for this one!! Many, many thanks for this!! They, again, did justice to this great song.. Does anyone know who is playing the riff, is it Keith or Ronnie? Whoever it is did a really good job! from that angle, it looked to me like Keith was playing Brian's part. I could be wrong though... -----------------------------

Quoterunaway Don't know if it already happened on the first O2 Show but it would be great to see the Portraits of BJ and IS shining on the Second O2 Show while the RS play one of the Sixties Rocksongs... Cheers Thank U Runaway!! I so agree with this!! It would be a 'nice nod' to the both of them. --------------------------

As all of us are thanking the Stones (and RIGHTFULLY SO I do add), I would also like to extend a BIGG THANK YOU from all of us (if I may be so bold to) to: A fair haired 'bloke' from Cheltenham, who in 1962, put an ad in "Jazz News" to recruit musicians to form his own Rhythm & Blues band, by the name of Brian Jones. Thank U Brian!! And a bigg thank u to the first (

Quotestonesnow Here is a Crimewatch clip on the Frank Thorogood "snapped" theory, where they also make mention of the payment agreement. Perhaps they were just referencing Rawlings' book, but if Crimewatch were putting false information out there about the existence of a payment agreement for Brian you'd think that someone from The Stones' camp or ABKCO would correct them

QuoteDoxa QuoteDandelionPowderman I hope the sound on the CD is from Ireland, and not from what we've got already. Anyways, there are songs we don't have, but it would be cool if it indeed was from that show I hope too, but the realist in me says that what we will have will be an extended version of EP GOT LIVE IF YOU WANT IT! They probably use the tapes thay have for making that
