Quotecyclist So many of those rumored song titles are clichés... I haven't given them too much thought really, but yes some generic clichés, and nothing too special and/or thought provoking. Get Close and Dreamy Skies sound like they could be the titles of a snuggly Carpenters tune, or even worse something from Michael Bolton c.1980's! But you can't judge a tune by it's

There's also the possibility they recorded a cover tune or two... Thinking maybe a Motown cover ala Just My Imagination or Ain't Too Proud to Beg, or a blues cover ala Love in Vain or Little Red Rooster. Or perhaps they even recorded another reggae cover ala Cherry Oh Baby, though they've never quite managed to do that genre much justice imo. Or...maybe they really did dec

QuoteIrix QuoteHarlem Shuffler My guess is that they’ll use the Empire for a press conference. The whole RS Touring-Band is following the Hackney Diamonds account on Instagram with the Empire Theatre picture - . Could also speak for something live. They could do a "mini-show": starting live with 'Satisfaction' and 'Shattered'. When the band is off-stage,

Mick doesn't need to say anything - his love, gratitude, worship, indebtedness, and admiration for Keith is louder than words. And the feeling seems mutual between the two. After all is said and done, as the old saying goes - talk is cheap...

My wife and I saw him a few years ago at the Ventura County Fair for free included with the price of admission to the fair itself. He put on a great show playing so all of his hits, even coming out to the crowd mid-song to mingle. One of the greatest free shows I've ever seen - Tommy is a LEGEND!

As far as greatest rock and roll singers, and if it was up to me, I would add: Jim Morrison - "Break on through"!!! And Paul Rogers - "All right now baby, it's all right now"!!! And Steve Winwood - "Dear Mr. Fantasy, play us a tune..."!!! And Johnny Rotten - "I am an antichrist"!!!

QuoteNilsHolgersson Quoteslewan QuoteNilsHolgersson It's weird, but by reading those titles, I can almost already hear those songs in my head so tell us on which ones Keith sings I'm hearing Keith on Mess It Up Can you hear Paul McCartney's bass on any of the tunes? It could be a tune (or two) co-written with Andrew Watt considering their past camaraderie and work tog

Quotetommyturbo76 QuoteNICOS Quotetommyturbo76 I just hope Hackney Diamonds is like Some Girls - perceived at the time as a huge "comeback" with a lot of airtime, played in discos, and a great tour. And of course the songs are simply great. As far as I know they will never do something they already did I actually agree. I was speaking about the result, not the content. I'm

I was at this show at Perkins Palace in Pasadena, 1980 which featured Leon and his bluegrass band. The show resulted in the great Leon Russell & New Grass Revival live album. > Leon All tunes performed bluegrass style: A1 - Over The Rainbow (3:31) A2 - I've Just Seen A Face (1:35) A3 - One More Love Song (3:48) A4 - Pilgrim Land (2:21) A5 - Georgia Blues (2:11) A6 -

Mick can sometimes come off as a dictator on a major power trip - you can sometimes sense it and see it on stage especially in the last two decades. But guess he can't be blamed too much as he, along with Chuck Leavell, wants to keep the ship sailing as smooth as possible. Mick's the conductor, and he's the boss, and without his direction, imagine how many shipwrecks there woul

QuoteIrix QuoteBashlets Is having Watt a co-writer a good sign? The greatest RnR-band on Earth needs a co-writer and non-Stones related guests .... indeed mixed emotions. And then there's the questions regarding whether Andrew Watt plays any guitar and/or other instruments on the new album. On the recent Iggy and Ozzy albums, not only is he producer, but he's also credited on

Quotestonesman87 QuoteDan No Mike Patton, my all time favorite vocalist, though very little of this can be characterized as rock. Oh well, given the fact that it's about "The 50 Greatest Rock Lead Singers of All Time", that's not surprising. Yet somehow Zack de la Rocha and George Clinton can make this "Greatest Rock Lead Singer of All Time" list?

Thought provoking and beautifully haunting new version of Time...written by Roger and originally recorded in his twenties, and now 50 years later revisited as a nearly 80 year old man... Love the Hammond organ, the strings, and the backup vocals...overall a magical ghostly vibe, and a nice companion piece and accompaniment to the excellent original PF version from all those years ago. Right after I heard of Charlie passing away two years ago, I cranked this tune up to 10 and will do so on every anniversary of that very sad day. While I shed a tear of sorrow on that day, now I shed tears of joy whenever I hear this tune while thinking of all the enjoyment Charlie brought to this world. Yes there's plenty of other great examples of Charlies drumming, and indeed too many t
