The recordings done at the LA studio are not stored on IORR. I do never allow any music or video to be stored here on IORR. If you link up to youtube or whatever, that is up to that specific source of download, if it is legal or not.

Midnight Rambler was reherased more than one night in Los Angeles. They have a whole new album to perform on this tour. Do not be surprised if the Houston show will be a bit different from the past tours, but they do still know how to do Rambler. It is just so many other songs to be performed, they all have to line up in the queue, and the crowds on this tour are the judges!

The trucks with the generators on high power at the side ramp, made it hard to listen to the music at the studio on Friday April 19, so the common crowd of 15-20 fans gathered at the front entrance. The last part of the set was more powerful, and easier to hear, even from the main entrance - Sympathy, GS, Sweet Sounds of Heaven, Satisfaction. During "Sweet Sounds of Heaven" Paul M

Thanks for your report Dan! That neighbor across the street with the Stones tongue T-shirt was truely a proof of how LA is working. Is there a dozen or so people hanging around at a studio? Who cares. A woman who walked by every day asked what was going on, she thought it was The Eagles inside the studio. The young students across the street, around the age of my oldest grandchild, were tol

A day at the rehearsals. This is from my notes last week, Thursday April 11: .... Whole Wide World (two takes) She's So Cold Let It Bleed (two takes) Can't You Hear Me Knocking (three takes) .... Just publishing a list of songs make no sense. One song from Hackney Diamons, works great every time they do it. Then a rarely played song, some of us will be lucky to hear it live

You might say that a Stones show is based on four - 4 - parts: The first part of the show, the Keith set, the second part, and the encore part. The Keith set is usually two songs, just after the introductions. If there is a "situation in the band", like Keith said on stage in Las Vegas 2016, he might do three songs, but usually he does two songs. More later. The first part is the

The rehearsals in Los Angeles have been far above any of my expectetions. I have been going to Stones rehearals since the 90's, for mainly two reasons. First of all I am restless and impossible as a family member once I know my favorite band is somewhere, and I am not there. Secondly I am of course interested in seeing them, and if possible, hearing what they do. In the "old days&quo

QuoteJMARCOU A long time ago I noticed that rehearsed songs are much more appealing than songs performed on stage. That is because they try out a lot, and some songs never work as they expect, so they just move on. The "final product" is looking great now, I don't think it could have been better. Houston will be great.

If you want to be surprised about the set list for this tour, then this thread is not the place to be. I have been so lucky to hear what they are working on for this tour, and much to my surprise, they have been rehearsing nine out of the twelve tracks of their new album Hackney Diamonds during the past two weeks of rehearsals. I will guess they do five - 5 - songs from their new album on open

They rehearsed «Emotional Rescue» last week. No worries. Also Keith did «Silver» on Friday. Most of the HD songs are being rehearsed, and they sound great live. They are «en route” for another great tour, starting in Houston!

Bernard Fowler is an important member of the band - The Rolling Stones. Also, he is a true gentleman. It is a shame that people troll him on social media. All he did was to post a picture with a friend. Give him a break, and please some respect and decency. Bernard is there always, especially when Mick do need backup, but also in general, just like on Best Of Burden, just figure out. Also Bern

QuoteKurt Why would BV post the wiki link for Pino? I hope he answers that question himself but it seems strange to me that our fearless leader would be so bold to prop up Pino's background at this juncture. Unless it's not just a random picture of two old friends... There is nothing between the lines here. Why do some always over-analyze whatever I say? I simply add a basic info li

Giuseppe Henry "Pino" Palladino (born 17 October 1957) is a Welsh musician, songwriter, and record producer. A prolific session bassist, he has played bass for acts such as the Who, the John Mayer Trio, Nine Inch Nails, Gary Numan, Jeff Beck and D'Angelo. Palladino met Steve Jordan in the mid-1980s while both were working as session musicians, which blossomed into a friendship.

Please give me a break. This is not the smalltalk thread. This thread is not about set lists or what sort of "redcoat" entertainer Mick is and so on and on. Feel free to post about set lists in the set list thread, and about "Mick Jagger the entertainer" if you think Readcoat slang remarks do make sense in an international non-political place like IORR.

QuoteSockers56 Has anyone had any experience with Frontier Airlines? I'm looking to book a same-day flight to Houston to catch the Stones. It all depends on how important the show is to you. If you pay a lot for the show ticket, then pay almost nothing to get there late on show day, it's a gamble.

Feel free to post about rehearsals, but please do not post locations or names of where they stay and/or rehearse. This is a matter of security, Same rule as always, no change here .Also, it is not up for discussion.

I was a big fan of Steve Harley and Cockney Rebel, playing all their music, and going to their live shows, from back in the 70's, until just a few years ago, at Union Scene in Drammen, Norway 2013. Also, it was so great to see Steve Harley and Cockney Rebel warming up for The Rolling Stones in Warsaw Poland 2007 and St Petersburg, Russia 2007. Great band, great performer. RIP Steve

Anyone knows about this? Probably happening some time during the tour this spring/summer. Billions of cicadas are set to appear in a rare ‘double brood emergence,’ scientists say (CNN - Jan 26, 2024) In a matter of months, they will dig their way out from underground, red eyes shining, deafening song filling the air. It will be a confluence of creatures the likes of which hasn’t been seen i

For all kinds of IORR Forum Search I would advise to use the main Search, as found on the top ruler of every forum page: Then change the search into whatever you like, by content, by user, by last 30 days, or any other time frame. IORR is a free service. May be there is a glitch in one of the many shortcuts around in the forum software; it is more than 20 years old, even if it has b

One of my great still stressful memories from Wembley Stadium was arriving late - very very late - for one of the shows. I was on a flight out of Oslo Norway at 3pm, not very wise to fly on show day. The flight was canceled, and I was pushed into a 5pm flight. Luckily there is a -1h time difference to UK, but still, getting through customs takes time. I was with no luggage, rushing out for a

Posting links to videos: Just post the address itself (http...) without the "s" in the http part, then the video image will be displayed, and the link will work throght the image on display. It is a workaround with this vintage 20+ years old forum solution. It is best practice to post both the "http" link, and also the https link, on two separate lines, first the https, th
