The Cow Palace '75 shows were taped by Mike Millard. All circulating copies reflect his penchant for "marking" copies he gave to friends.

Well it seemed to me to be time to find a way to get my shows to you all, lest I be accused of becoming what I hate: a hoarder. First I'll start with the Stones show, since it will be very popular and I've yet to see a complete recording surface.

Keep in mind I'm using my neighbor's laptop to seed, so it may not be on all the time.

This is the piece that should be more valuable to you.

I didn't see this date in the etree database.

what I have here is just the last 25 minutes of the show.

I have no doubt in my mind that the entire show was recorded.

I've just never seen it anywhere. Maybe with some luck somebody will have it and share it.

It was sent to me labeled as SBD, but it's a good audience recording.

You can look through the tour time line here.

I compared 2 different Vinyl LP sets to my FM cassette.
The "Smilin Dork" release. I can clearly tell that the vinyl transfer sounds a hair flat. Which caused it to run nearly 2 minutes longer. I find that the FM plays at a perfect pitch.

The other vinyl source called "Garden State 78" A Vinyl Gang Product (VGP-253)
I found had multiple dropouts in the Vinyl's left channel that isn't on the FM tape.

The only real advantage of the LP sources, is that they have less crowd cheer in the mix, they sound more like actual Soundboard recordings. where as my FM broadcast has more crowd cheer in the mix,

But the radio amplified the music so it also brought the music more upfront.

The radio broadcast is a totally different mix and listening experience.

Funny comment at the beginning of "Far Away Eyes", Mick Jagger says:

"Maybe we do a country song and New Jersey's a country ain't it".

I don't think this FM broadcast has been circulated that much, at least this tape never has, until now.

Original upload comment:

LDB Special Series #371 (RLR collection)

Out of my 7,000+ shows and radio broadcasts, I have many concerts that were special for some reasons: the setlist, the
musicians, the venue or unexpected events. These are the ones I'd like to propose you. Most of these come from my
cassettes collection, so they will be released at a slower pace than my Master Series! But you won't be disappointed!
I will try to gather the most unusual things I have in my collection and, as always, your feedback and comments will be my
reward for all the work involved in this project.

I think I have something really special to share with all of you, but first a bit of background. RLR has been a very active
trader back in the early 80´s with very wide musical tastes: he could go from Kiss to Joni Mitchell; from Genesis to Deep
Purple, Queen, Simple Minds, The Who, Springsteen and many more. In the past I could access his enormous collection to get
many U2 tapes some of which I have been sharing with you folks.

RLR had all sorts of tapes in his collection, traded not long after the show happened so most of them are low generation, in
particular tons of shows recorded in Italy which to me are some of the most interesting. Some of them, I had never seen
circulating in the trading circuit. Unfortunately he did not care about generation so this info, except for the shows he
has as masters, is not available.

RLR has kindly given me access once again to his collection. It was like a "kid in a toy shop" situation: it was hard to
select tapes and at the end I came home with some 250 tapes to listen and eventually to transfer in the digital domain. Some
of them will be shared here, possibly the most interesting ones.

I am ok with blogs and sites to re-post my seeds - provided they are in lossless form - however I ask you to keep intact the
infos of the concert including that this is part of LDB series.

And I am referring to (and not only):

Mick Jagger – lead vocals, guitar, harmonica
Keith Richards – guitar, backing vocals
Ronnie Wood - guitar, backing vocals
Bill Wyman - bass guitar
Charlie Watts - drums, percussion
Ian Stewart - piano
Billy Preston - keyboards, vocals
Ollie Brown - percussion
Bobby Keys - horns

First tour with Ron Wood (his 14th with the band) and first out of six shows at the Garden. No album to support, just pure
fun for this tour 1975. Soundwise this is average, nothing spectacular, but the performance is powerful although we
are still in the early stages of the tour. Setlist was long in 1975 but unfortunately this one misses both tracks sung by Billy
Preston. I love this tour!

The Rolling Stones 1978-07-10 St. Paul Civic Center, St. Paul, MN (FLAC)

this is not from either one of the boots for this date (Rolling From the Stage - Pignose; Winter Tour 73 - Idol Mind), but from an unknown audience recording

it is unique because it contains one track from the opening Peter Tosh set , but unfortunately cuts at Happy, and does not include Sweet Little Sixteen, Brown Sugar, or JJF

this is a fair audience recording, with some dropouts, swirling sounds, and general muddiness

yet, this is a very rare date from the '78 tour, and perhaps will help fill some holes in your Stones collection
