Hello,

I'd like to know if the FIRST PRESS of Sticky Fingers Spanish edition (HRSS 591-01) has the white tongue in superior right corner.

I thought first press was the Sticky Fingers graphic on label.

Thanks.

Sticky Fingers Question

Hi
There are four official (legal)versions of the spanish Sticky Fingers LP. (can cover)
First one released by Hispavox HRSS 591-01 (Atlantic) in 1971 had the red tongue on upper right corner. Record with Rolling Stones and Sticky Fingers stamped on label.

Second one released by Hispavox HRSS 591-01 (Atlantic) around 1973 with red tongue on cover but record label is rolling stones records tipical plain yellow label (non stamped)

Third version released by Hispavox HRSS 591-01 (Atlantic) in 1975 with big white tongue on upper right corner. Disc with Rolling stones sticky fingers stamped on label. Often some sellers described this version as the first pressing but in fact it's the last pressing made by Hispavox in Spain.

Fourth version released by EMI records 10 C 066-063152 (after the Rolling stones signed with EMI and left Atlantic) in . Red tongue on cover, plain yellow label.
Emi Spain also released the Andy Warhol cover version that included Sister morphine for the first time in Spain but with no real zip just a photograph.

Currently there are some counterfeits (illegal versions) made with colored vinyl that includes Sister morphine (banned in Spain until 1979)

Hi. I know that you know a lot about this stuff: You helped me a lot whith your knowledge of Spanish discography and even I have bought records to you...
I am curious to know why you think that this second edition dates from 1973 ??

Best
