The 2000 MTV Video Music Awards aired live on September 7, 2000, honoring the best music videos from June 12, 1999 to June 9, 2000. The show was hosted by Marlon and Shawn Wayans at Radio City Music Hall in New York City.

The 2000 show is best remembered for Tim Commerford of Rage Against the Machine climbing a piece of set scaffolding and refusing to come down after his band lost the award for Best Rock Video to Limp Bizkit. The show went to commercial while security removed Commerford, who was later arrested and forced to spend a night in jail. Eighteen-year-old Britney Spears garnered controversy over her skin-colored performance attire, which gave the impression that she was nude but for strategically placed crystals. Bizkit vocalist Fred Durst later joined Christina Aguilera onstage as a surprise guest during her performance of Come on Over Baby (All I Want Is You). For the second year in a row DMX did not show up for his scheduled performance; as a result, Nelly's performance, originally scheduled for the pre-show, was promoted to the main event. Other highlights included Eminem performing amidst an army of "Slim Shady" lookalikes and a humorous montage dedicated to past VMA winners who had failed to repeat their previous success.

2000 Performances:

Janet Jackson — "Doesn't Really Matter"
Rage Against the Machine — "Testify"
Sisqo (featuring Dru Hill) — "Incomplete"/"Thong Song"
Britney Spears — "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction"/"Oops!...I Did It Again"
Eminem — "The Real Slim Shady"/"The Way I Am"
Red Hot Chili Peppers — "Californication"
N'SYNC — "This I Promise You"/"Bye, Bye, Bye"/"It's Gonna Be Me"
Nelly — "Country Grammar"
Christina Aguilera (featuring Fred Durst) — "Genie in a Bottle"/"Come on Over Baby (All I Want Is You)"/"Livin' It Up"
Blink-182 — "All the Small Things"

No Artwork...I would appreciate anyone wanting to make artwork for this to please do so...

I would love to have a more complete version so if anyone has the missing performances I would love to see them uploaded.

Thanks...

Rolling Stones - Get Yer Alternate Ya-Ya's Out 1969
(Idol Mind Productions N-020)

Original IMP CDR -> WAV (EAC) -> FLAC (flacfrontend) -> You

Recording info:
Madison Square Garden, New York City, New York, November 27th and 28th 1969
Civic Arena, Baltimore, Maryland, November 26th 1969

Quality:
EXCELLENT STEREO W/ CRACKLES

Comments:
This is a CDR release from Idol Mind Productions....not a CD. Well well....I didn't know so when ordering it - I hate paying for burned CDRs; they won't last for many years anyway.
Anyway, this IMP release features a rip of a vinyl-acetate of "Get Yer Ya-Ya's Out"....which means that the mix is different; and that there are some guitar-overdubs here which Rolling Stones removed for the official product. It's a real interesting listen!

Most important comments:
It's taken from a different acetate than the previous bootleg releases of this material...both vinyls and CDs - and it all sounds better here! Much better than the VGP release "@#$%& Your Ya Yas Out". It's still far from perfect though - but a nice upgrade anyway
The crackles and pops that is evident on this IMP, shows that there's not any "no-noise"-nonsense that has removed the crackles....it all sounds natural and nice

Scans included!

Don't worry, the ban has been lifted again. I posted a comment that they found too rude. But it's all ok again.

Good to hear
I appreciate your "honest" comments at HC/Dime....it's not a good thing when "downgrades" are being uploaded, without anyone making the downloaders aware of it

I can't imagine why I might have been banned, I've never made any untoward comments and I'm still seeding stuff I've downloaded.
I even requested a new password as I thought that that might be the problem and I was sent one by 'return of post'!
If I've been banned, they should bloody well tell me and why!

If you're still seeding you have not been banned most probably. Maybe it really has to to with your password problem. Anyway, this "maintenance" message is wrong (it's probably the standard error message), it has nothing to do with maintenance, there is a problem with the access to your account.

Actually, you might be right, all of the stuff I'm 'seeding' are saying "Failure: unregistered torrent pass".
How do I contact the moderators?

Well I managed to get through to Hungercity (via a password reset email) and I was informed that my account had been suspended because my ratio was too low which was fair comment, but when I pointed out to them that telling me the site was down due to "maintenance" was a blatant lie, they responded with an an email
saying "YOU KNOW WHAT ISNT A LIE A S S H O L E... YOU ARE BANNED PERMANENTLY!"
What charming people!
If that's the way they speak to people, then I'm not sorry about it at all.
Good riddance.

They haven't blocked your ISP, they've blocked your IP address. Power off your router/modem and power back on and you will have a new IP address.

If that doesn't work, use a proxy server. This will hide your IP address.

ROLLING STONES
1970s Promo Film Soundtracks

Back in the seventies they did not simply use the album versions for the video clips like today but Mick was singing live to a prerecorded backing track. So these versions differ all from the official album versions.

Note 1: The 3 other promo films from Black And Blue (Hot Stuff, Hey Negrita, Crazy Mama) are full playback using the album versions
Note 2: "Where The Boys Go" is the longer promo film version (4:04 instead of 3:29 on Emotional Rescue)

Source: Tracks 1-8 Silver CD "Get A Line On You" (BB 001), Tracks 8-11 from DVDs, don't ask me which one exactly...

All tracks are complete!

01 Angie I
02 Angie II
03 Dancing With Mr D
04 Silver Train
05 It's Only Rock'n Roll
06 Ain't Too Proud To Beg
07 Till The Next Goodbye
08 Fool To Cry
09 Miss You
10 Far Away Eyes
11 Respectable
12 Where The Boys Go

ROLLING STONES - DANCING SO FREE
MICKBOY / TORN & FRAYED 011

LINEAGE:
Original Mickboy CD-R -> my good friend Scottkeef -> CD-R copy -> me -> WAV (EAC) -> FLAC (flacfrontend) -> YOU

DATE/VENUE:
Studio sessions 1972-1973
(see included scans for comments / further info)

COMMENTS:
I'm not a fan of "remasters" - not official, nor unofficial - 9 out of 10 always let one down; compared to the original release. The recent Universal Music release of "Goats Head Soup" lacks everything - they tried to "do something", but whatever it was.....they didn't have a clue on where to go. It sounds awful.
To me, there's only 2 "versions" of Goats Head Soup that is worth listening to. It's the official, original release - which is very muddy, dark and unclear. But it's also this Mickboy remix - which turned it into a very different listening....it's suddenly rocking and cooking in a different way compared to the original album. Mickboy also included outtakes and alternates for Dancing So Free. When it comes to "Mickboy"...I'm not a "fan" nor an "enemy"..."he" has some poor products, some unecessary, and some real fine ones. I find "Dancing So Free" to be among those very fine/interesting ones.....at least as a change to the "original mood" of GHS.

Thanks to Scottkeef for the copy !

ARTWORK:
Included (taken from rs.covers)

"BONUS" :
12. Angie (from the "promo-video" [=different vocals] )

BONUS TRACKS:
El Mocambo Club, Toronto, Canada, March 5th 1977 (Excellent Stereo)

COMMENTS:
The most significant thing about this VGP release, are the bonus tracks - for the first/only time ever....we get the complete "Let's Spend The Night Together" from El Mocambo 1977.

When it comes to Detroit 1975....it's not among the "hot" TOTA shows (IMO).....but it's not a disaster, either (like the "video-show" from LA, July 11th 1975)....it's a *pretty good* show

01. Dancing With Mr. D
02. 100 Years Ago
03. Coming Down Again

08. Hide Your Love
09. Winter
10. Can You Hear The Music
11. Star Star

"BONUS" :
12. Angie (from the "promo-video" [=different vocals] )
13. Seperately (outtake from December 1972 - instrumental)
14. Winter (less "produced" than the released version....it's not "a different version" though)
15. Tops (outtake from December 1972 - instrumental)
16. Dancing With Mr. D (from the "promo-video" [=different vocals] )
17. Silver Train (it differs from the released version)

Seems like this one is banned due to it' s content.
If someone needs it I can upload it here. Thanks Erik for your 'try' at Hungercity.

More Soundboards from 1969

This is thought as an addition to "Get Yer Ya-Ya's Out!" and Erik's torrent of the alternate Ya-Ya's

Here are 9 more excellent stereo soundboards.

Tracks 1,7,8 from VGP's F*ck Yer Ya-Ya's Out (from Gimme Shelter movie)
Track 2 from Time Trip 4
Tracks 3 complete version (all 4 verses) made from original Ya-Ya's and Alternate Ya-Ya's
Track 4 from original Ya-Ya's (included because it's also from Nov. 28-1st, so we have the first 4 songs from that show in a row.
Tracks 5,6,9 from A Shot Of Salvation

I have crossfaded tracks 1-4 and 7-8 which come from the same show each, to make it sound fluent.

01 Jumping Jack Flash (MSG 1969-11-28-1st)
02 Carol (MSG 1969-11-28-1st)
03 Sympathy For The Devil (MSG 1969-11-28-1st)
04 Stray Cat Blues (MSG 1969-11-28-1st)
05 Love In Vain (Baltimore 1969-11-26)
06 Gimme Shelter (Altamont 1969-12-06)
07 Satisfaction (MSG 1969-11-28-1st+2nd)
08 Honky Tonk Women (MSG 1969-11-28-1st+2nd)
