This torrent is different than:
because it has the two Billy Preston songs.

Tracklist:

Disc 1:
01. Honky Tonk Women
02. All Down The Line
03. If You Can´t Rock Me/Get Off My Cloud
04. @#$%&
05. Gimme Shelter
06. Ain´t Too Proud To Beg
07. You Gotta Move
08. You Can´t Always Get What You Want
09. Band Introductions
10. Happy
11. Tumbling Dice
12. It´s Only Rock n´Roll (But I Like It)
13. Doo Doo Doo Doo Doo (Heartbreaker)

Disc 2:
01. Fingerprint File
02. Angie
03. That´s Life (Billy Preston & The Rolling Stones)
04. Outa Space (Billy Preston & The Rolling Stones)
05. Brown Sugar
06. Midnight Rambler
07. Rip This Joint
08. Street Fighting Man
09. Jumpin´ Jack Flash

TornAndFrayed (mjake) notes:

Dug this one out of the bin yesterday and enjoyed listening to it so I thought I´ll post it here...

I received this rare tape in a trade long ago and it´s different from the incomplete and near-excellent source found on "Missing Jewels".
The recording sounds a bit distant, slightly muffled and distorted but it´s well balanced and pretty listenable. Still, I would only recommend this to diehard fans and completists because the overall quality is average at best. Please check the samples before downloading.
There are a few cuts (mostly between songs) but this should be the most complete source available for this date.
I think (part of) this recording had been posted here before in inferior quality but I´m not sure.

This was the second to last show of a six-nights-in-a-row stand at MSG and IMO, this - along with the final night the next day - is the best performance of them. Jagger is slightly hoarse but the band´s playing (Keith in particular) is great throughout.

And here's the reaction from one Dime member, Isotope... grinning smiley

"It's gratifying to learn (just in time for Xmas!!) that all my [seemingly cynical] suspicions are justified: - - - that ANY sense of brotherhood or solidarity within the collecting community (not to even THINK about personal respect or friendship) is just a pathetic delusion. It’s just dog-eat-dog out there: get whatever & as much you can, under the guise of friendship or respect or whatever if necessary… then, when the time feels ripe, spit in your benefactor’s face. Yaaay!

When I first allowed Hezekiahx2 to have a copy of this years ago, it was with the EXPRESS understanding that I had gotten it from someone loosely connected to the Stones Community --- someone who didn’t want it circulating around, because it would reflect negatively on HIS credibility and trustworthiness. Naively (stupidly) I thought H was someone whom I could have faith in to keep things to himself in such a case. Someone had trusted me, and I took a chance and trusted someone else. Of course that was years ago, and I guess to most people “never” means until you think no-one is looking. People get married, and promise on that Sacred Day they will NEVER get together sexually with anyone else. Then, as soon as they think no-one is looking . . .

Well, that’s ONE definition of ‘never’ . . . but it’s not the only one.

So now my trust is betrayed (yet again), my credibility is damaged, as is the credibility of the person who was kind enough and trusting enough to let me have a copy. And possibly a wedge is driven between me and that person. Anyone care for a nice, tasty chunk of puppy-meat?? Yummy!

Sometimes people (on DIME and elsewhere) wonder why older-time collectors --- people who still have their original tapes from “back in the day” --- don’t wanna dig out those recordings and share. This is EXACTLY why. There’s enough betrayal and abuse in the world already - - -why go looking for more? Why make an effort to share things with people who will spit in your face or stab you in the back the first moment they think they can do so with impunity? Who needs it??

But of course everybody reading this will be completely sympathetic to their heroes KRW CO and Hezekiahx2. If I was stupid enough to give a copy of something to someone I thought was a friend --- with the understanding that he was to keep it to himself --- not just for a while, or ‘til he thought I wouldn’t know, but keep it to himself PERIOD --- it just proves that I’m a selfish idiot. A ‘hoarder.’ What kind of moron could be naïve enough to believe that when someone looks you in the eye and makes a promise, they actually mean it? Anyone THAT stupid deserves whatever abuse they get, right troops?

So, the Good News = that everybody on DIME who cares gets an awesome tape, and if that means that someone who was retarded enough to do something out of friendship gets @#$%& up the ass? - - - well that’s certainly a price most DIMErs are willing to pay. Right, troops? Yaaay!!

All Hail KRW CO
All Hail Hezekiahx2!!

Merry Xmas, vultures"

Anyway the guitars are tragically low in the mix and the tape runs too fast. So...

Oh I see. Isotope is angry again about something we all have already? Many of us anyway...most leaks originate from those that complain the most about keeping it secret... generally lamenting their choice not to do so. Its a never ending cycle.

Yes, it's too fast. Which correction factor do you suggest? I cannot hear that really.

Minus 2,3% with the "speed-correction" tool of Audacity seems about right.
Anyway don't bother : the TSP-202 cd runs at the right speed and it sounds pretty much like the torrent (a bit louder maybe).

Maybe Cpt Acid will provide a definitive version of this Stones chapter with both shows remastered... as the afternoon gig is a much better/less drunken performance than the "evening" one (imo).
