Hi StonyRoad!

Long time ago I decided that I had enough Faces shows on my pc, and that I did not need more concerts, especially not all the different sources for one show.
But: if you still think you need this version and you cannot get to Dime,
I will download it and up it here.
You have shared so much stuff, so...

Sorry, but over the weekend I was busy with other matters.

Very nice from you!
To be honest I sent a mail to the Dime moderator and their rules seems too much complicated for me (become guest, then they're others steps before to become downloader...) so I will be grateful if you can upload this one for me!

Show Notes:
This show sat fully uncirculated in a box for almost 15 years. Worst Stones crowd I've ever been a part of, by a wide, wide margin. That said, there is a magical sound to type IV analog tape...and now with all the bells and whistles of modern computer software, you have what you have here today, a fully listenable experience (compared to the shriek-and-clap fest of a bunch of mouth-breathing frat-boys before mastering) with an @#$%&-albeit-exuberant crowd. Generic stadium set. But it's the Stones...and Sheryl Crow even comes out for "Honky Tonk Women". Couldn't even see her...#curses

It's a repost/reseed of one the "alt" tapes IORR member Dan shared a few years ago. Some of them are upgrades over what was previously available.

44.1 24 bit also available

Thanks to CL for recording and Chris from Belguim
for sharing at the great IORR site.

I guess we don't know for sure the exact lineage about this recording.
It's obviously digital and apparently done at 44.1 24 bit.
I'm thinking it has been recorded with internal microphones.
It seems to be missing phase issues in the upper mids and highs
that are usually present with external microphones.

The files are tagged.

These files are ready for cd burning.
Split between 12 and 13.

The Rolling Stones - 2018-05-17 - Croke Park Dublin, IE (AUD, 24-44.1 - taper CL, new remaster with artwork)

Ok... Hi again folks. This recording was made by CL, and the original was already shared through IORR and Dime before a couple of times. This is my own remaster of the original 24bit-44.1kHZ recording. And, there have already been (at least) two other remasters that have been shared by others. This remaster here is probably closest to the RDP remaster with just a bit more detail to bass... check out "Miss You" for an example of this. Also, this one like the RDP has not been Normalized again to a 0.00 dB level, so you get a bit of head-room for more volume with being a little less fatiguing, especially on lengthy listens. Also, this particular fileset keeps the original 24bit-44.1 kHz resolution whereas all the other remasters drop to 16 bit. This really is a great recording (all thanks to CL) and I have listened to this so many times now that I have become familiar with all aspects of it, even of the audience. And, even some of that is pretty damn cool often in places. Listen to the comment right at the start of "Tumbling Dice" or what is said by the audience before "Miss You"... I could go on but you get the idea. Some here might want to have another memento of this Stones show for their own collections, take it if you want. Of note, the link below goes to IORR pages where there are many photos, comments, links to publication reviews, etc... 30 pages of such. A final note, this fileset here also contains a complete full set of artwork not previously available that follows the great artwork shared on IORR by stonesmuziekfan so the disc split is a bit different from what I had made before... but it makes for a better (or not as weak) lead-off for disc two this way. Hard to believe that these guys are in their 70's as this recording shows that they are still... in 2018, WOW!... the greatest rock 'n' roll band in the world. Enjoy...

UK/Europe leg of The Rolling Stones 'No Filter' Tour 2018

24 bit-44.1 kHz audience recording from 'taper CL' with no exact lineage supplied

Setlist:

02 Tumbling Dice [4:54]
03 Paint It Black [5:54]
04 Just Your Fool (Buddy Johnson cover) [2:43]
05 Ride 'Em On Down (Eddie Taylor cover) [3:20]
06 Neighbours [4:40]
07 Wild Horses [6:18]
08 You Can't Always Get What You Want [8:55]
09 It's Only Rock 'n' Roll (But I Like It) [5:13]
10 Honky Tonk Women [4:44]
11 band introductions [3:34]
12 Before They Make Me Run (Keith Richards on vocals) [4:15]
13 The Worst (Keith Richards on vocals) [2:57]
14 Miss You [8:56]
15 Midnight Rambler [12:02]
16 Start Me Up [4:44]
17 Jumpin' Jack Flash [4:53]
18 Brown Sugar [5:55]
19 encore applause [1:48]
20 Gimme Shelter [6:53]
21 (I Can't Get No) Satisfaction [7:59]

Musicians:
Bernard Fowler - backing vocals, percussion
Sasha Allen - backing vocals, percussion
Tim Ries - saxophone
Karl Denson - saxophone
Matt Clifford - keyboards, percussion
Darryl Jones - bass, backing vocals
Chuck Leavell - piano, keyboards, backing vocals
Ronnie Wood - guitar, slide, vocals
Charlie Watts - drums
Keith Richards - guitar, vocals
Mick Jagger - vocals, harmonica, guitar, percussion

This is a seamless audience recording with sequential tracking left in order
as most people simply do fileset streaming for their music playback nowadays.

You must first convert the audio from 24 bit-44.1 kHz to 16 bit-44.1 kHz
if burning to a CD-R set, disc split is recommended after track 13 -
Disc One, trks 01-13 = 64:49 + Disc Two, trks 14-21 = 53:09

Complete full HQ artwork for this 2 CD-R release included and also the set that was provided by ethiessen1, being more generic and can be used by all the differing filesets, is included here as well.

Hope you enjoy the music... and until next time

The Rolling Stones - 19th June 2018
Twickenham Stadium - London - UK

The last show of the UK tour, the Stones playing pretty close
to their original home turf.

I was a bit wary of bringing a recorder in after all the dire warnings
of searches and uncivilized stewards at the other London shows but
decided to compromise and bring my old H2 out of retirement.

Needn't have worried though; having taken the logical precaution of choosing
a queue wnere the security guy didn't have an electronic wand thingy I had
a cursory pat down of pockets and no questions and was allowed to bring
in my water bottle complete with top - unheard of these days!

Stewards were friendly, helpful, polite and when I asked a large intimidating
security guy where I could refill my water bottle he let me into the staff canteen
to use one of their water jugs.

Proper stewarding, speaking as one who does a fair bit himself, but in my
experience unusual at a major rock event!

We had seats in the middle tiers, forward facing but a long way back so the
sound was a bit muddy; I don't think my other recorder would have done much
better to be honest.

Recording is not as good as some of the other UK tour ones I have heard here,
presumably the good ones were recorded on the pitch so I was hanging back to see if a better one apppeared.

As one hasn't appeared so far I thought I would put it up anyway. As at
the concert the sound improves as time passes and does capture the excitement
and intensity of the evening.

No too many screaming idiots where we were but some unfortunate animated
conversationalists in the row in front who are a bit irritating at times

A few pictures I took as well

01 Introduction
02 Street Fighting Man
03 It's Only Rock 'n' Roll (But I Like It)
04 Tumbling Dice
05 Paint It Black
06 Ride 'Em on Down (Jimmy Reed cover)
07 Bitch (by request)
08 Beast of Burden (with James Bay)
09 You Can't Always Get What You Want
10 Honky Tonk Women

11 Band Introductions
12 You Got the Silver (Keith Richards on lead vocals)
13 Before They Make Me Run (Keith Richards on lead vocals)
14 Sympathy for the Devil
15 Miss You
16 Midnight Rambler
17 Start Me Up
18 Jumpin' Jack Flash
19 Brown Sugar
Encore:
20 Gimme Shelter
21 (I Can't Get No) Satisfaction

Enjoy and never sell!

show notes:

well, here ya have a "new source" to the party....seeing as how the Stones (and Pearl Jam opening) were so well documented over the years, I never bothered with throwing these into the ring.

then, realizing how good the seats I had were, and listening again, I figured "why not"....?

made it to the first two shows of this 4 show run (which was a good thing, as it poured buckets on the 18th and 19th, I believe), and the one memory I have is walking down to the field with a large beer in each hand thinking to myself "@#$%& YEAH, Pearl Jam AND the Stones in one night".

and to PJ's credit, they are the *only* opening band I've seen a stadium that had the place full by the end of their hour long set (another polite nod to PJ from the Stones, as all other opening acts on this tour got a mere 40 minutes, whereas PJ got a full hour+ each night).

one of the PJ sets has been shared, and now one of the Stones ones.

will try and get to night 2 (taped from the *19th* {Nervous Breakdown} row) here before the end of next month.

these were mastered to be CRANKED, so CRANK IT!

yet again, kudos to dandrew for gettin' 'er done. you could follow my lead and tell him thanks.

then, if that offends you, do your best "you're not the boss of me" in my direction.

I can handle it, promise.

one more 'gem' crossed off of the bucket list...

it would have been nice to do all 4 of these shows, but it might have broken the bank....fortunately, I picked 2 of the 4, and the 2 picked weren't the rainouts....arrived in the Bay Area in the early afternoon on the 14th from Atlanta, and left Oakand at 6am on the 16th to go follow Gov't Mule for 4 shows.

all that said, what you have here is yet another Stones capture by yours truly, and if it doesn't sound "better" than night one, it's easily equal to it in quality. maybe a bit less 'room' and a bit more 'guitar'....and a great crowd and great weather to boot!

enough with the superlatives...though one last thing: I DO have the 18th and 19th on the HD as 1g's from Bruce W (animal rights lawyer in the Bay Area)...if these sources are *not* already circulating, I'd be happy to do them up sooner than later...those were the 'it rained buckets' shows, but he did a stellar job considering the conditions. AND they're on *metal* tape from DAT!

more alms and praise to dandrew, and your bile for me.

it's the only way I know how!

Thanks to CL for recording the aud source and Chris from Belgium
for sharing at the great IORR site.

And thanks to Andrea82 for kindly obtaining and sharing the IEM bootleg.

I used my earlier master of the CL audience recording.
No further tweaking to that.

The IEM source was completely redone.
XAVEL's mastering was defeated and a
new master was created.

The two sources are in the new matrix at about 50/50.

It's pretty impressive the way the IEM matrix was put together.
Not sure how many monitor sources are involved but it is a nice
stereo spread. One can hear the drum kit in stereo.
One crash cymbal in the left channel one in the right.
I don't really hear any aud source in the original IEM matrix.
If there is some it's way low in the mix.
The one issue is that the vocals are too loud in the IEM matrix.
But of course, duh that's the point of in the ear monitors.
To hear one's vocals.

These two sources compliment each other well.
You can hear things in the aud source that do not come out in the IEM source.
And the opposite, you can hear stuff in the IEM that cannot be heard in the aud.
