Assumed it was a boot label or title, but when I saw a request for "Get Your Ya Ya's Out", I was dumfounded.

Acetates are usually records that were manufactured BEFORE the official release i. e. for the artist or the record company. Find out here:

This dates back to the times of vinyl records. I don't think today they burn a few test CDs before the sale.
I don't know if the Stones were in negotiations with Apple Records at that time.

They don´t have to do nothing with apple, except being friends, so the acetate was only the disc with an apple label, nothing more, nothing less. It´s like when you have an sony disc and you burn something on it, it´ll be the "sony acetate"
