Hello everybody! Has anyone does a list of recommended concerts? You know, based on soundquality and maybe performence? I think that could be very useful to some people (like myself a long time ago). I think it's hard to find good recordings from 1969-70, but 1971 we got Leeds, and 1972 a couple of recordings (like Ahmet ertegun...) and 1973 (brussel), 1975-76 theres a lot and 1978, 1981 too. What about the outtakes, there's a lot of collections out there, but there's a lot of the same stuff on those records because it is a limited number of outtakes recorded..
But thanks a lot for a friendly and great forum, and for all the posts!
Have a look at www.faqs.org/faqs/music/rollingstones-faq/part2/ That gives you a pretty good idea of what's available and how it sounds. It doesn't have everything (it was missing a few of bootlegman's recent posts from the 1970 tour) but as a general guide it's pretty useful......

......as far as latter day Stones.....or the modern era or whatever you want to call it, there are many great recordings out there. But those are a few recommendations. Check out Urban Steel's thread here on Hot Stuff. There are quite a few of those titles available for download in lossless flac format or mp3 format.
