I'm trying to d/l vol 6 even as we speak, it's over @ torrentbox but it's real slow & there's only peers, no seeds that I'm connected to. I'll stay connected & see what happens. I believe the original flacs were put up @ some site called 'zombie', don't know what that is tho.

Still a problem with 16-20 Vol. 1. Am I the only one experiencing this?

I am experiencing the same problem.
But I also have problems with 21-25 Vol. 1
and the same problem with 1-10 Vol. 2.

When the bugs are worked out, this will be an excellent addition to my early official releases. Thanks edmund for posting these! Darn those Gigasize limits.

I agree...

But the title Unsurpassed Masters shure sounds funny/inapropriate in combination with the mp3 format. Edmund's Rolling Stones mp3 collection might be more accurate.

The essence of The Unsurpassed Masters series was that JWB made a compilation of the best available (lossless) sources. With downgrading the quality to mp3 format that essence is lost.

I totally agree with edmund. It's hilarious when someone tries to claim copyright to bootlegged material. Either way, most of these are new to me and it's very much appreciated.

Nobody's claiming copyright to bootlegged material (except the Stones themselves maybe...)

if somebody can seed the first one, thanks !

Thanks Britney....I guess I just don;t care about the extreme level of sound quality (FLAC vs. MP3) all that much. When I listen to this stuff, it's in my car,on my home stereo-blasted, or in my garage. No time for headphones!

With kids, dogs, a wife, ex-wives, etc...who the heck has time to listen to music on headphones and notice a difference!!! smiling smiley

Thanks for the great posts

pancho1111, what are torrents? I've seen this mentioned before. I'd really like to somehow get vol. 6. to complete this truly great set.

shadooby: if you liked this set, may be you 'll enjoy downloading this:

Torrents are very small files (around 50 KBytes) wich contains the info about a set of files (songs by example) and the container (folder= album)...
You and many others in the internet can open this file with a torrent client (a program) to share with others clients..
the guy who created the torrent and share his album is a Seeder,( has the seed)
and the guys wich take his album are Peers..
when you finish your download, so you are converted in a Seeder as long as you continuing sharing that album..
utorrent its a good client program..
good look with torrents!
if a finish downloading vol 6 (now i'm 99.8 % ) I can upload it..
