Its alright man. Its still a great release. Thanks for keeping it alive my friend! I've downloaded it in its current lossy format and I'm enjoying it. Its all personal preference but I archive every boot I have in lossless format on several external harddrives.

This has been explained to me before but what is the advantage of doing that?

FLAC/wav/lossless audio is basically an identical copy of the original audio source. Mp3s are compressed so they take up less space but don't have the same quality as flac/wav/lossless audio. If ripped at 320 they have very good sound and the compression isn't noticed. 128 is horrible. 192 is bearable. Personally I download alot of music and I keep everything stored on external drives.

I use one 500 gig external drive solely for audio. I organize everything by either official releases (I put those in a discography folder organized meticulously by year and release source - all lossless), or ROIOs (bootlegs). The bootlegs I have in three catagories:

- Lossless Live
- Lossless Studio
- Mp3s

Mp3s are fine for private listening but not good for trading because the quality gets worse every time you burn them. You can burn lossless audio a million times and it will still be identical to the original CD it was taken from.

I enjoy listening to mp3s but I never trade them unless someone wants them over the net.

Hopefully I don't come off as an audio snob or anything like that. I have mp3s myself, I just prefer FLAC because it means its a permanent addition to my music collection. =)
