Ah sumi, was wondering where you'd got to. For completeness, yes you certainly need those 2 Billy songs, but I'll let you into a secret, I was never that excited about him, he's an excellent performer I'll grant that, but I never understood why they got him for that tour. Just been listening to LA Forum 11th & 13th (in lossless flac quality no less) but he just doesn't sing to me. Ah well, each to his own. As some people say.

It is not poent fo Billy. Poent is in historical material, understund?Stones concert recordings are part of history. How do you fill when you visit some kind of museum, and later discover that somebody exclude some stuffs beacouse that person, have opinion that it is not important??it is better to have choice, and if you don't like, just skip it. Correct?

I agree with Ruby I'm afraid. Sumi- if you don't like this post- why haven't YOU skipped it?

...I suppose I can post the lossless flac files for this one too...but about the Billy Preston songs...
I think that IORR is missing anyway (dispite of the common believe...I figure it must have been played...)
so it's not complete anyway and it runs 85 minutes with BP...it's so much more comfortable on 1 CD...

Hi rubycatgirl,
I don't post here very often & VERY rarely bother downloading stuff, but- I just wanted to say a BIG THANK YOU for the things you've posted here recently.
The '2-source matrix' version of Dodger Stadium is particularly impressive. I also REALLY like the artwork & labels you've put together. They're not the usual 'fan-made' artwork- so (I'm guessing here), but I think you must be a graphic designer or something similar in 'real-life'.
Just out of interest (& maybe it would be a challenge?)- have you ever tried to do a '2-source matrix' version of the Hollywood Bowl shows from 2005?. I bet using both the soundboard & the audience sources, you could create something really special!. Just an idea- I'm clueless about doing this kind of thing! LOL

...these are really heartwarming compliments...gee...thank you smiling smiley
I was hoping to do some people a favour by sharing this stuff
...encouraged by the 'Sleazes' from Shidoobee btw...

About the Hollywood Bowl...I don't have the SB version...but I will look for it...
(I did a remaster from an audience source for the 2nd show though...).
I do plan on making a matrix from the Radio City Music hall show and if
I can get my hands on the 2nd Beacon2 source I will look into that possibility as well...

I keep you posted...!

I know Hollwood 6 nov '05 has been matrixed, I've got it. It combines beach boy & Josephines recordings, there's no note on the artwork as to who did the matrix tho.

Quite a few probs with that ALD recording, 60hz hum, out of phase, some noise, but the result is quite good. You need an audio editor, a good set of ears & lotsa patience.

2 of the Tokyo shows have shown up @ RO matrixed but I haven't got them yet. I sporadicaly work on them but haven't got the patience to finish, there's always the temptation to tweak it some more.

...I don't know that HB'05 matrix...sounds intresting...!

and I agree...a matrix will take me at least 8 hours
but takes easily way more time...sometimes I just give up..
(I still have Boston Fleet '02 to finnish...)
My trick is to go song by song and do real exact measuring (with 0.001 of seconds)
I try to stay within 0.05 of a second ...and I just choose 1 source to match the other...
and that means in general 'straching' the other...lol
And I use little segments of songs to decide on the best mix (useally 1 source for low and the other for high...)

Hi !
Thanks for posting ... Interesting debate about Billy Preston's part in this tour. I for my part find interesting to have the whole show, even if I ain't really fond of Preston's performances, but also think that I haven't to criticise the choice made by those who are posting. I think it is quite nice to get some stuff offered as a gift and thus, I am very thankful. Some post one or two songs, others the whole show and others what they do prefer. Take it as it come !
But ... I've got a request : I downloaded it twice and always have the same problem with the second track that I cannot extract. Do I do something wrong ? If not, would it be possible to have only this track re-posted ?
Thanks a lot !
Hervé

...here's track2 [www.sendspace.com]

...and actually I like the discussion about the BP songs too...I can totaly respect the opinions of having the songs included...and I useally do include them but this time I thought the 'boot' was better without them...However, I kept the BP songs in the 1-track mp3 file I made for my i-Pod and I'm uploading it right now ...

I dunno how much humor he intended.....Lots of people on this board have locked horns with this guy.......if he doesn't want the music in the formats that its' been posted on this board, then he can get it else where.......
