........the candidates are.......

I'm gonna pick out 5 shows from my collection.......ya'll tell me which one you want posted....I'll try to pick out shows with something special or distinctive about them.

Oakland 11/9/69 1st show - this is not the famous "Live'r Than You'll Ever Be" show.......that would be the 2nd show. This is an audience recording and the quality is similar to the "Live'r" recording. The amps blew out during JJF and the Stones had to play their acoustic songs early in the show.

Los Angelos 1/18/73- Benefit concert for Nicaraguan Earthquake victims. Audience recording.

Sydney 2/27/73- soundboard recording. Last show of the '73 Winter Tour.

Paris 6/6/76- soundboard recording from the show following the death of Keith's son Tara.

Brixton Academy 7/19/95- audience recording.

...let me know what you wanna hear........

There all too good to single out just one but the 1/18/73 Benefit concert does strike me with its wonderful setlist so it gets my vote.

wow melb06; i just looked this one up on the iorr links page. you're right, VERY interesting setlist! not sure if all are on the boot, but listed as having:
Route 66
It's all over now
No expectations
Sweet Virginia
Dead flowers
Stray cat blues
Live with Me

in place of rambler, angie, heartbreaker, mr D,...

i think i'll throw my lot with that one then, but all of them sound good TD07!

Yeah all those songs are on there.......the only song missing is "Midnight Rambler" which was the encore and has never appeared on any recording of this show.

yeah probably so......I think that's the only time they did "Route 66" with Taylor ......"It's All Over Now" and "Dead Flowers" were both done at all three of the Hawaii shows in '73 and "Live With Me" was played at the first one. As far as know, this was the last time they did "Stray Cat Blues" with Taylor and the second (and last) time they did "No Expectations", Hyde Park '69 of course being the first.
