I'm not sure if the Stones actually covered a real BD song. I thought "Mona" was one, along with "Who Do You Love", because they both use that BD beat, as does "Not Fade Away", but I'm not sure. A check of the songwriting credits should tell the tale. Did the Stones do "I'm a Roadrunner", which I believe is a BD song, at some point? I would think that BD was one of their prime early influences, though, Chuck Berry is the main man for influences. Now, I'm going to have to listen to the early Stones albums looking for who wrote what. It'll be a tough job, but somebody's got to do it.

That's news to me. Should be a very interesting listening experience....
Wonder if there's a recording that survived time....

Saw Bo and Ronnie in the 80s both in Boston and NYC. Incredible! The man was awesome. He is playing Burlington VT in 2 weeks. Their Live at the Roxy disc is a must have.

Bo did a lot of blues stuff when he was at Chess. I have a pretty good collection of his music. A lot of outtakes that I cant find now or I'd post them. Some songs he did with Muddy and Willie Dixon and company. It's funny because he is always associated with that signature beat of his but there is so, so much more to him. His version of I;m A Man is a great performance.

Mona,I'm a Roadrunner,Crackin Up and Diddley Daddy are all Bo Diddley numbers which the Stones covered.
I think Beautiful Delilah is also from Bo, although someone recently posted its a Chuck Berry song?.
Not Fade Away has the Diddley beat but was actually by Buddy Holly..

Did the Stones ever cover Who Do You Love? If so post it I would love to hear it.
