I recently lost everything on my PC. I still have a "dime" account, but I need help finding the right freeware to download the torrents and to convert them from FLAC to CD. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

You can find in Google "ABC" (a torrent manager) it works for DIME. Maybe you need a software to convert heavy (and stupid) FLAC files to MP3, a nice software fot that is "Switch" an australian program, is a sadness lost everything, but i recommended buy a external hard disk (i have one with 250 GB of storage) and if you have a problem with your pc... keep your files saved!!

The best soft i know to save your files is "Norton GHOST"
Easy to use with just a diskette.
You can choose after making an image file to keep it
on an external hard disk or burn it to a dvd!

I am now downloading Porto (12-08-06) from Dime, using uTorrent, but it will take me 3 days and 15 hours, at an average download speed of 11.5 kB/s!!!

Is it normal beeing so slow??

from DIME you can download faster. your speed run on your connection or on sources.
to conversion FLAC to WAVE you can use "FLAC Frontend" it's free
or very good "Easy CD-DA Extractor" for convert from all format to any you want. it's software.
