I think Yann is correct they were the Back up for some shows on the 89-90 tour.

Was it The Dan Reed Network? They opened in Newcastle[ with the London Quireboys] and Manchester. Living Colour opened only in North America. Mick says on the Montreal dvd [Dec. 14 '89] that this is their last show together.
