My kids loaded my I[pod with thier music and I now I have no space on it to pt on the downloads people have been sharing here.

Does anyone know how to delete music off of an I-Pod?

Yes. Open iTunes and delete the stuff you don't want from the library. Then connect the iPod, which should be updated automatically to reflect only the files in the library (so it will delete those that aren't there anymore). Then add the music you want.

Raoul is correct. The point is whatever songs you have on your hard drive (under itunes) will match the ipod. If you take songs off the hard drive, they will be deleted automatically once you hook the ipod to your computer. That is the AUTO mode.

There is another way around that. There is a manual mode that will allow you to only transfer selected songs to the ipod. Recommend you go to the itune / ipod website site (apple website) for further info.

I can't give you a complete answer to the manual mode because I don't use my ipod in that mode. (All my songs on the ipod match those songs stored in itunes on my harddrive.)

If your kids put tunes on your ipod through your computer, just hook up your ipod and clear them all.
When you put files on, some of the Stones stuff will already have the info, others you have to import once they are on a CD for all the track info to show up.

Others you have to put in manually.

With the Leafs missing the playoffs (disgraceful), I've decided to route for Ottawa.

I've pretty much given up on hockey. I played right up to college until I dropped out. I hate the new rules (of course, I was a goon).

The Bruins are such a disgrace. I like Philly. I used to root for the Habs as well but they suck now too.

I'm a Toronto kid. Toronto has always been a big time hockey town despite the success of the Toronto Blue Jays winning the World Series in 1992 and 1993.

Toronto is one of the original six teams so Torontonians expect great things from the Leafs every year and they always manage to disappoint not having won the Stanley Cup since 1967.

I was 19 when they last won and I suspect I'll be six feet under by the time it happens again. Cherry thought.

Getting back to the ipod for a moment. The only stuff I keep on the ipod are oldies and artist compilations (about 1200 songs taken from my own original CDs and encoded using Apple's AAC @ 256 Kb/s). All of the Rolling Stones bootleg stuff that I have obtained from IORR are burned to CDR (2 copies always). None of it remains on the the ipod.

Remember the minute you remove a song from your harddrive, the next time you connect your ipod to the USB connector, that song will be removed from your ipod.

I gather your back to work and that is great news. I'm sure it was boring to be sitting on the couch all those days / hours uploading all that good Rolling Stones stuff.

For me, I'm retired after working for one company for 32 years. I do the same type of work (part-time) from home as a consultant now; otherwise I wouldn't have the spare time for the internet.

As for R.S. boots, I can't think of anything that I'm especially missing. A really good 2005 stereo soundboard would be great. Already have the Buenos Aires soundboard 2006 concert posted earlier on IORR.

There is a record show here on Sunday, April 30, 2006 that I plan to attend. Maybe I 'll find something worthwhile buying.

I remember when Keith got busted up there, my friends and I drove up to see what was goin on. We were there about 2 hours and almost got into a fight with 3 guys. It was all over Bruins vs the Leafs.Who had the better defense,,Peter McNabb was a loser etc...

Had a great time there. Good bars. We got into all the bars and we were only 16-17.

I got my I-Pod taken care of. I'm listening to the GHS Acetates now. Great stuff. I often find I like the outtakes better than the officially released stuff.
