The 2nd show showed up, the link is in here, somewhere, & it's the worse thing you've ever heard. Apparently it was recorded with an ipod & basically all you can hear is 1000's of Argentinian fans screaming, constantly, for 2 hours. In comparison to this, Gothenberg '65 is hi-fi quality.

i thought worried about you in the stadium was done better than at MSG!

this show is a killer IMHO...

this was the best crowd of the tour.. they had been waiting for the stones to come back since 98 (i was there when the stones decided to pass it up on licks.. and at the press conference keith was keith with his "the only way we could play argentina would be as a charity gig" as argentina's economy had just collapsed) and it showed... there was even rioting outside..keith got a 5 minute ovation..people just love him so much down there... mick was clearly enjoying the moment working the crowd like only he can...stuff like "we missed you! you're the same!" (i think a reference to their excitement level) or "we're going to take a shower together after the show!"

read bassmeister darryl jones' blog entry on the show... says a lot

i would love a copy of the dvd.. i do have the audio of the show..some people say the second show under the rain was better but there may be no recording of that.. people down there don't all have minirecorders and if you take one into the stadium you are likely to get killed for it...

of course i'm partial to it i must admit.. nothing like a hometown show and even though i live in dc now buenos aires is always my town..

i would add that this was the cheapest of the paid shows.. so the stones did, for once, put themselves out a bit economically... as the local promoter grinbank said and i paraphrase " the stones played this show cause they wanted to play here.. cause in the US they make more money from shirt sales"

ticket prices ranged from $25 on the field to $80 for the top tickets

lastly, the crowd was the youngest of any stones show... tons of teenagers...

must be special for mick and keith and the gang to play a show like that...

To me,the fact that they played the great but dark Sister Morphine (this song's mood goes against the mood of a rock 'n' roll audience) in quite a few stadiums in '97/'98 proves that they would be able to do many other non-singles in stadiums.Worried About You had to have gone over better than SM did.
