Vinyl rarities mp3s
Posted by: rumple21 ()

I posted some vinyl rarities on the 'Tell Me' forum recently but some of the contributers were quick to point out it's more of a discussion only forum and posting music interferes with it's purpose. Perhaps sharing here is more appropriate. As for the moral aspect - well they can all be found on Pirate CDs and buying these enriches who exactly? I will certainly be purchasing any official release should they become available.
I'm posting these just as a small thankyou for all the great music I've acquired on this site.

These tracks are mostly vinyl only releases and will hopefully turn up in some new Rarities package in the future (yeah right!). Well until then, here-is - enjoy!

Feel On Baby (inst 12inch)
[s64.yousendit.com]

She Was Hot (video version) - taken from Rewind - Ah well!
[s64.yousendit.com]

Too Much Blood (long dance version)- This is from the 'Sad Sad Sad' (Dutch) CD single. Since I'm posting the other vinyl-only tracks from the 12inch I might as well give you this -- I suspect the CD single is not too widely available outside Europe.
[s64.yousendit.com]

Too Much Blood (short dance version) - this follows the 'long dance version' on side one of the 12" single.
[s64.yousendit.com]

Too Much Blood (Dub version) - track one - side two of the 12inch single
[s64.yousendit.com]

Undercover (Dub version or extended Cheeky mix) - whatever that means!
[s62.yousendit.com]

Winning Ugly (New York Mix) - the 'London Mix'was released on the 'Collector's Edition' CD and the 'Ruby Tuesday'(fm Flashpoint) CD single.

Rene Here is some of what you requested - the best i could do
and thankyou culpa very nice biog - will check it often.

Before They Make Me Run - this is my best copy. Originally an internet download could've been from ULf's site a while ago - started as a 64kbps wma file but sounds pretty good all the same here is:-
[s52.yousendit.com]

Harlem Shuffle NY mix - here is the full length version from the 'Save Me' boot not the edited version as appears on the new Rarities disc. The London mix features on the Collectables Edition CD.
[s52.yousendit.com]

Sway 7 inch version - I have several copies of this on various boot CD's but I've chosen the 'Black Box' version from a download. To my ears it sounds about the cleanest.
[s54.yousendit.com]

She's So Cold clean version - a few vinyl crackles but sounds good all the same -this copy is taken from the 'Through The Years' boot - here is:

Feeling a little bored I've been comparing the recently released Rarities Harlem Shuffle New York mix and the old 12" version - it would seem the Rarities version runs a little faster this would obviously account for the shorter running time.

You have very nice things in Your collection rumple 21.
Those things were never available or are available only on ebay in Poland.
But they are usually in bad shape, especially the vinyls

Thank again

Thanx a lot Rumle21, that's great!
The Before They Make Me Run promo version is great, isn't it?

More requests?:

- All Down The Line (single version - 3.56) - from the Happy 7" single.
I downloaded the version from Culpa's site, but maybe you can get a
better sounding version of it? (sorry Culpa, no hard feelings).

- Exile On Main Street Blues (6.12) - from the 7" flexi disc.
I downloaded the short version earlier, but do you also have the complete
6.12 flexi disc version with the excerpts from All Down The Line, Tumbling
Dice, Shine A Light & Happy?

- Star Star (clean version) - from the Goats Head Soup US LP (COC 59101).

- 2000 Light Years From Home (promo edit - 2.53)
She's A Rainbow (promo edit - 2.50)
both from the She's A Rainbow/2000 Light Years From Home promo 7" single

- Far Away Eyes (single edit - 3.43) - from the Miss You 7" single

- It's All Over Now (single edit - 3.00)
from the It's All Over Now first pressings only 7" single

- It's Only Rock 'n Roll (promo edit - 4.46)
from the It's Only Rock 'n Roll promo 7" single

- Jumpin' Jack Flash (promo edit - 2.42)
From the Jumpin' Jack Flash promo 7" single

- Wild Horses (promo edit - 3.26)
From the Wild Horses promo 7" single

Best wishes for 2006!!

It's was released as a promo (not-for-sale) single. Both sides of the 7inch contained the same track - a unique promo-mix. It was housed in an attractive picture sleeve - a facial picture of Keith wearing a black Arab-like head covering. Apparantly the single is now a highly collectable item although a counterfeit release is circulating which is difficult to distinguish from the genuine article.

To continue the 'Before They Make Me Run' single was issued in October 1978.

I'll check my collection for some of these single edits and others although to be honest unless there was something specific about them I've never bothered actively seeking out these 7inch edited versions.

Sittin On a Fence?

Re: Vinyl rarities mp3s

Ok here is some copies of 'All Down The Line' see how they compare

1. I have this one on data file - downloaded in July 2002 originally a 64kbps wma file. Probably(?) processed to remove vinyl noise Here is:-
[s59.yousendit.com]

2. This copy is lifted directly from the 'Through The Years' '63-93' bootleg. Obviously recorded straight fm the single it has some vinyl crackling.
[s60.yousendit.com]

3. Well here is culpa's file - Using some brutality I've processed it, applying noise-reduction, de-crackling and de-clicking - see what you think!
[s64.yousendit.com]

I'm checking the other requests.

Ok this is the best I can do for the requests.

Exile On Main St 1 - without inserts - great copy!
[s57.yousendit.com]

Exile On Main St 2 - with inserts - some vinyl crackles as usual but fairly good copy. I suppose it would be possible to edit in parts of 1 to create a better sounding track or even go the whole hog and rip the tracks from the CDs edit them and remake the whole thing.
[s57.yousendit.com]

Angie - Live Tokyo March 6th 1995 - as features on the Japanese B to B CD
[s57.yousendit.com]

Faraway Eyes - single edit
[s57.yousendit.com]

I Just Wanna Make Love To You - Live 1998 - I think this is the 'No Security' Bonus track but I'm not 100% sure - it's from the 'Hot Licks' bootleg which only lists it as live from 98'
[s57.yousendit.com]

If You Can't Rock Me - MSG 18th January 03
I Don't have the live licks bonus track the closest I can get is the same performance taken from the 'Four Flicks' DVD - I've fade edited it.
