Selling the music that they were given for free. It’s a wretched hive of scum and villainy. Ask Daspy what he thinks of this site…

That would get me banned. A lot of my stuff is for sale there up to the point I stopped uploading to Dime. Complete scumbag from Canada running the site. You wont find any of my recent Stones recordings there. That I know.

Probably more. He’s got 2 of mine (non Stones) and I didn’t even get a koozie out of it…

I cannot remember the last time I bought a boot in desperation. There are quite a few generous people on IORR. Just ask and you will probably receive. Heck, somebody posted a ten disk boot recently.I do still buy boots. A couple a year. I like finding them at Tower Records in Yokohama or getting something special in the mail. Maybe it is nostalgia? It reminds me of finding my first boot in a second hand store in Budapest in 91. And the nice boot store in Warsaw near the Palace of Culture in 98. It is nice to treat myself. When I see a post here asking for a new boot no one has I wonder why the person doesn't just buy it and then share it here.To quote John Lennon and Arlo Guthrie, imagine what it would be like if say 20 different people bought one boot a year and shared it here. What a bright iorr it would be. I think people whose sources are booted should feel flattered I guess.

And people wonder why tapers share less? Between this and the Rskinnos of the world many tapers are doing what they can to make it stop.

98 percent correct. Infintesimal compared to the output you claim. I cannot imagine going to a show and sacrificing the spontaneous enjoyment to tape. Its a real sacrifice.

Baseball fans often throw an opposing team's home runs back on the field. I do not believev I have any daspy masters. I found two in my collection when you were running your anti Rskinno campaign. I tossed them.i will leave itcatbthat.

I am crushed....hahaha.

You and I have different priorities, will leave it at that. I sure get more enjoyment from listening to my recordings after the fact than going to an occasional show drinking beer and talking about stupid shit.

Well, he did mark everything down 20% from $24.99 to $19.99. So I would say he's rather generous with his customers. And who's to say that's not a bargain for a CDR of a third generation audience tape?

I think it's up to the individual buyer.
Some people are petrified of technology and streaming.
They undertstand their CD player.

I've no problem with this person offering CDs for $20.00
Nobody is making people buy them.

I can make a pizza by myself.
I call my local pizzeria to make it for me.
Yep, I pay more for it.

I blame you for forcing me to type the strangest sentence on IORR…

Your pizza wouldn’t be worth eating if it weren’t for tapers

Selling for $20 for burned CDs is moving at a profit. Profiting from recordings that were freely released by tapers (who did all the real work).

If they were selling at cost, or close to it (think $4 a cd), I would still frown but not hate so much. You could then make the argument that they're providing a reasonable service for folks that struggle with burning and procuring recordings. Instead, this is a long standing profitable operation.

All of my recordings that have been publicly released on are this site. While not the main reason I've discontinued public releases of my recordings, cutting off folks like these is certainly a benefit.

How does that make him generous with customers? confused smiley His margins make Nvidia's look low and he is taking money he is not entitled to. If the artists made the money that is fine but just jackass who downloads free music and collects monry to distribute the content is just a parasite.

Its more like I can make a pizza myself but I am too stupid or lazy and some homeless guy is stealing pizzas from a delivery guy and selling it to me but that's ok because it is easy for me.

Oh! There is my bootleg there !!!:
Fame on me ! -=))))) I'd not just recorded it but also post-mastered by 9-band compressor of my own development. And I guess not in a bad way given they sell it on CD @ $20 -=$). I'm sure it's mine 'cause of exactly the same sound, I'd just compared! They even kept my (intentionally) incorrect track naming of "1 nite in the city": nobody else could'd developed the same VST-plugin, 'd tuned it to the same settings and 'd named 1 track of with the same error-=)! Later I'd uploaded it 2 dimeadozen.org (another good bootleg site, BTW -) ) - I think they got it there.

Slightly OT but here goes: I taped 24 shows on the Stones '94 VL tour...including Houston and Indianapolis. In Texas, got drunk and was dancing in the aisle when I went for a full header down the concrete steps and busted my head. Was taken to the infirmary in the basement and fixed up--missed two songs. Two medics gave me a new shirt to wear and escorted me back to my seat where I received a standing ovation from all the fans in that section. And my girlfriend had the smarts to mind the tape recorder. Memorable! At the Hoosier Dome I sat just behind the Lt Governor, the mayor, the attorney general, and various wives and hangers-on. They got pretty drunk and danced the whole time. The actual gig was OK, nothing too special, but listening to the tape is hilarious and probably would have hurt them politically if heard by opponents. Also got interviewed by the local news as I was the first car waiting to get into the parking lot at 7:30 AM. Had a cooler full of beer I was selling for $2 each and a cop on a horse bought one and I took a picture with the horse. Saw myself later--after the show-on TV at a local tavern. Everyone took up a collection to give me gas money to get to the shows in NY. Lovely people. Not sure why I'm telling this but maybe to illustrate that you can actually have fun while taping instead of being some sort of snobby elitist jerk yelling at fans around you to be quiet during a Stones R&R show. Not that I'm saying that about anyone here of course LOL.

Funny stories! - as long as no one was seriously hurt drinking smiley

I don’t know anyone who’s ever shared these 2 shows before. Do you still have them? If so, can you share them?

Thanks in advance!

Also, did you happen to tape Edmonton, Salt Lake City, or Atlanta?

Wow.
Some people don't want to download.
They don't know how to download, and they don't want to know how.

Look, some people like having physical media to hold.
People still have CD players in their cars, computers, and audio racks.
CD players and CD sales are selling better and better.
This site is providing a service to these people.
I hope they make *gasp!* healthy profits.

I don't know how to make a decent pizza.
Is my local pizzeria "scummy" because they bake it for me?

*smh*

Just to be clear, you think somebody selling live audio at $20 a cd is net positive? Would you support somebody selling live CDRs at $20 from downloadable material here on IORR?
