In this series we concentrate on audience recordings, leaving out the rehearsals, and of course the official recordings. KBFH-recordings will only be used for merges or matrix recordings.

19th June 1978: New York City, New York, Palladium

For this show we have 2 sources:
source #1 can be found on ‘New York City’ (no label) and in ‘New York City – remastered version’ (no label) which has a better sound but runs too fast. The version from Exile records ‘New York Palladium’ has lots of speed problems in particular from ‘Star Star’ onwards,

Source #2 is from Glimmerman, It’s a good lossy audience recording, but, in my version, the banters are edited, the comparison with the official version shows that the speed is correct. ‘The New Palladium’ (no label) comes from the same source,

Because the sound from the Glimmerman’s version is slightly better, I decided to keep it and completed it with the New Palladium version (after speed correction) to get the best sound and the more complete recording!

As usual the recordings are de-clicked, phase and speed adjusted,
The Glimmerman version (‘GM’) is on the left channel and the ‘New Palladium’ version on the right (‘TNP’)
