Good question - as it is called Trident Jam (even in the Stones camp) we can assume that it was recorded there. BUT the only known work at Trident was the mixing for Get yer Ya Ya's Out. But there is the possibiliy that they jammed there as well, of course. This would be Jan./Feb. 1970 then.

Your Jamming With Edward theory can't be correct though, as this was recorded in April 1969 at Olympic Sound when MT wasn't yet on the Stones agenda.

YMMV but I think the version on "Sticky Beggars Bleed in Exile Volume 1 - Capt. Acid remaster" sounds better?

Wasn't the "Trident' moniker given to a batch of tapes that were compiled and send to Nellcote in 1971?

I really doubt the Stones ever recorded at Trident for contractual reasons: as long as the Stones were signed to DECCA and Klein they recorded at Olympic as this was Decca's main studio. When the Stones left Decca and Klein they were free to record in other studio's, but had to go to studio's outside of the UK for tax reasons. Trident was connected to various American labels like Mercury, RCA, Elektra etc.

Ps: come to think of it -do we even know for sure they did mixing and overdubs for GYYO at Trident?

Yes, I’m also checking in late. I’d love to hear Taylor playing in his Bluesbreaker form.
