'Energy' was originally intended as the 2nd single - [iorr.org] , [iorr.org] , [Eurythmics-Ultimate.com] , [iorr.org] .

I wanted to say that the length of the album version would not make a special radio edit necessary.

OK, you're right. These 2 radio edit/mixes of Miracle Worker (Chris Lord-Alge Radio Mix and Damian 'Jr. Gong' Marley Main Mix Radio Edit) also have both the same length and sound both almost the same as the album version. So why not also the same with Energy?

I don't know, but as they declared track 1 as Radio Edit there must be some difference to the album version, otherwise it wouldn't make sense. Maybe they felt the urge to edit it down to about 3 minutes as formatted radio rarely plays anything longer?
