On the first anniversary of this great show, wouldn't it be nice if Daspyknows shared his great recording?

I am happy to promise that I will not share it with anyone if this is still an issue.

we've all had this debate before

and i'm sure he knows the overwhelming majority of us will respect his wishes about selling or manipulating the recordings

but as soon as he shares it here it'll be on sale within a week he's made it very VERY clear over and OVER again for years that he won't tolerate that

personally i'd like his recording of seattle from last year since there's not any good lossless audience recordings out there of that show (just like seattle 2019) and i know he was there

maybe if you asked for one or two specific songs he might share those since there's perhaps less value in that for the people that sell these things so less chance of it ending up being sold

Everybody here knows Daspyknow opinion about sharing and usage of his work. That is no more a subject until Daspy decide to share with us a new message.

You're asking for free recordings. Daspy knows how to release it if he wants. You've offered nothing new.

If you want to work out a trade or exchange with daspy, contact him directly.

If it's really important to you, then you should start looking at taping future shows.

This thread is just a poor attempt at begging.

I have been recording shows for many years and shared some of them on this site (if you could be bothered to look). Check out the O2 Arena shows from 2012 for starters.

Daspy has a hidden email (if you had bothered to look), otherwise I would have contacted him direct. I would love to do a trade if I have anything of interest to him.

I travelled 3000 miles for the Metlife shows but had no idea what security measures would be in place at US venues so didn't want to risk taking my recorder.

Daspyknows is very easy to contact. You could try via facebook or he's a moderator on Taperssection. I'd recommend you connect with him taper to taper as opposed to posting here an IORR as a broad topic.

Bummer you didn't bring gear! Worst that could happen is you get denied at the door. In which case...try another entrance.

Yep. I booked my summer in Europe to see the Stones. We all know how that turned out. Instead I am hitting shows and festivals with other artists. I posted plans in another thread. All my computer equipment is locked in storage until I return.

You can usually take a look when you get there and NFL Stadiums have the security procedures posted on their website. I have traveled thousands of miles but for some of these events I know all the begging in the world wouldn't do what I should do for myself.

But while we are on the subject, A plea to whoever is holding the Faith No More Roxy 1987 video and wanted thousands for it to maybe take a little less. And a plea for some muscle to go my friend's house, who lives on my same street, because I don't think he is putting enough effort into finding the Anthrax Long Beach Arena 1989 tape I have been asking for for 34 years. We might have to chainsaw thru the ceiling because he thinks it's in the attic with a blocked off entryway.

Please please please. Anyone help me here and maybe I can dig up some hoarded Stones shows.

You know those 2 posts with the lights on top? I am deliberately not naming them. I love those things.

I was at an event with those over the weekend but I had to go all the way out to smoke or go get something to eat and thru security again. I just stayed wired up. The event was only partially music and who says they would object anyway. With that, pipe, lighter, full plastic water bottle I picked up inside and other random junk mostly from inside ... NOTHING. Other people were setting it off though.

I also go prepared for the maximum security. If it is less it is easy but prefer not to be surprised the opposite way, especially if I am not staying walking distance. If one doesn't try they won't succeed. If they try they are very likely to get something. If not, then I would ask but if I don't bother to try I am not going to ask.
