I'm still using Windows 7 and Firefox browser. Have had no problems using WeTL to DL until this week, after I cleared my browser cache. I signed back in to IORR and WeTL, restarted the PC, etc., but still this problem:

After WeTL sends the msg. "Getting your Files," it takes longer than usual for the DL to start. Once started, it takes longer for DL stats to appear in my browser pop-up. Then the DL ends quickly, with only 5 to 25 GB completed, though the "Download Completed" msg. shows.

I’m using a new modem sent by my ISP, Verizon DSL. Is that the issue? I have no problems with DLs through Firefox browser from pixeldrain or File Factory, and torrents DL’d through UTorrent are fine.

Can anyone lend advice?

My best guess is Verizon DSL is traffic shaping -- reducing the bandwidth/success rate on connections to that particular download service. It's no secret that ISPs hate downloading. And DSL is a relatively narrow pipe these days.

I've read that using a VPN can sometimes solve it, as the traffic is encoded and protected from snooping by the ISP. But if they are basing the throttle solely on the volume of data flowing, or if the VPN is not properly configured, a VPN still won't help.

Try to get a 'better' IP-address by resetting your DSL connection (or switching your Router off & on). A 'bad' IP-address could cause long & inefficient routing paths, resulting in slow speeds and/or cancelled downloads.

For bigger downloads of much more than 1 GB I use JDownloader, which is able to perfectly resume interrupted downloads.

Just yesterday I downloaded many GB from MEGA, and each time MEGA stopped (you reached your daily download quota blah blah), I just closed the JDownloader prog and after I started it again, the downloads were continued.

But not from some free DL hosts which use a one-off ID ('Create download link') for each download.

Got troubles with WT this week trying to DL Jimi Electric Lady Sessions.
DL started and failed numerous times, using VPN or not.
Never happened to me before...for what it worth.
Now I mostly use Pixeldrain which run slower but perfectly.

Yes, the same problem for me with WT with Firefox Browser.
I tried with Chrome Browser, and all went fine.

Seems that WT is getting worse day by day. Now only 3 days storage in free mode instead of the former 7 days, plus this upload eMail confirmation. But there're enough alternatives: [iorr.org] .

Swisstransfer is the best solution.

It does work for me on Chrome, but still hoping to get Firefox to work with WeTL again.
