MICK TAYLOR Band
Feat. Jimmie Wood
1992-93 North American Shows

In 1992 and 1993, Mick Taylor played with a group including Jimmie Wood. After two previous series dedicated to European and Japanese shows, we now offer you this new series to complete this period with the shows played in North America.
Thanks to those who recorded and shared their recordings.
Nzb brought in his recordings and knowledge, and BlueTurns2Grey will create a
companion series by compiling the best available video footage and synchronizing it with the
audio files that I have reworked.
Reviews of many Mick Taylor concerts can be found on GimmeMT.com.

19th SEPTEMBER
SAN DIEGO

19th September 1992: San Diego, California, ‘11th Annual Adams Avenue Street Fair
And Free Fall Festival’
Line-up: MT (gtr, voc)/Jimmie Wood (voc, harm, gtr)/Jimmy King (gtr, bvoc)/Greg Boaz (bass, bvoc)/David Salinas (dr)

This show appears in different audio and versions and also on 3 videos.
For the audio, some versions are lossless, others lossy, some are in stereo and others in mono, some complete and others not…
My favorite versions are the ones uploaded by:
- ‘Kingrue’ at The Traders Den in 2019: I call it “source #2”
- ‘hankhill’ at Dimeadozen in 2008: I call it “source #3”
(see the original infos in the ‘docs’ file)
These recordings are incomplete: the start of “Shake Your Hips” and the end of the show are missing.
“Source #1” comes from a complete video of the show. It’s sometimes claimed to be a soundboard… but isn’t: it’s a good lossless monophonic audience.
“Source #4” corresponds to another mono version from an incomplete video and which is not so interesting.

I propose to upload 2 versions:
Vol 08a will be a mixed version to get the more complete recording with the best quality
Vol 08b will be a merged version to get a better sound. This is the version which BlueTurns2Grey will use for a video that he will upload simultaneously.

VOLUME 08b:
This version really deserves the title of Frankenstein: sources 2 & 3 were merged then mixed with source #1.
All sources were reworked as usual and source #2 is decelerated by -1%.
Because it remains space on the CD2, I added, as bonus, a few tracks in mixed version which are also of interest, especially for appreciating the bass.

CD1 :
01 - tuning & intro
solely source #3 until 3’03 then merged
02 - Badmouth Mama
merged except from 2’55 to 3’18 where only sources #1 & #2 are used.
03 - Hoodoo Thing
merged except from 7’13 to 7’16 where only sources #1 & #2 are used.
04 - How It Feels
merged
05 - You Shook Me
merged and mixed except for the last 10 seconds which are solely a merge between source #1 & #3.
06 - Shake Your Hips
merged and mixed except the first second coming solely from source #1
07 - You Don’t Miss Your Water
merged except the first 25 seconds coming solely from source 2

CD2:
01 - You Gotta Move
merged
02 - band introduction #1
merged
03 - Cairo Motel
merged
04 - encore break & band intro #2
the first 29seconds are merged but the rest is solely coming from source #1
05 - Teresa
coming solely from the source 1
BONUS
06 - Badmouth Mama
the 3 sources are mixed together
07 - Hoodoo Thing
the 3 sources are mixed together
08 - You Shook Me
the 3 sources are mixed together
09 - Shake Your Hips
the 3 sources are mixed together
