He was only in town on the 14th and had a club show , I believe with Alvin Lee , the night before. I heard a radio dj speculate that it would be crazy if MT joined the Stones but ten laughed it off because that would NEVER HAPPEN. It totally blew my 16 year old mind . No announcement or acknowledgement by MJ till much later in the show
Also, I doubt he was paid for the first show.
