I have the VGP-250 Down in the court which is quite good but not excellent. and it is mono - or very narrow stereo
so take it that "Earls Court 1976" DAC-045 is an upgrade ?
DAC-045 is made from the same source as VGP-250, but probably from a lower generation tape. The quality is better. The stereo effect is still narrow however. Is there a wider stereo version existing?
Just info ... six nights at Earl's court - 21st - 23rd and 25th - 27th.
I went to the first one - a friend of mine went to all six.

I've heard a stereo mix that was good but then a mono that sounded cleaner and better. Any idea what the best one is? Thanks!

I assume you mean the May 22 show (there were 5 6 shows at Earls Court). For this I suggest "Earls Court 1976" on DAC-045. It is excellent and stereo.
There is also a partly stereo soundboard of the May 25 show on "Another Earls Court" (VGP-022). It sounds a bit muffled however.
