Thanks again for this wonderful upload. I recognised a dropout on "Chantilly Lace" at 3.48, which I fixed. Here's the fixed version of this track:

Good for 3 days and 20 downloads per link, therefore 2 alternate links:

I don’t want to be an anorak, but this tape is available for quite some time, at least 5 years. The original release came with a video clip of Shattered.

If memory serves it even was our His Majesty who found this tape with a fan who collected all concerts from this venue.

Could be wrong, but at least it is available for quite some time.

Mathijs.

Here's the story: On March 27 2008 I posted a message on IORR asking if anybody knew wether a recording of this show existed. Knowing that up untill then no recording was in circulation I considered this small venue opening show of the 1982 tour one of the 'holy grails'. To everybody's pleasant surprise IORR member His Majesty reported a few day later he knew someone who attended the gig and who got hold of a CD-R copy from someone that recorded the show (audience recording). Finally after a few months of anticipation, on november 12th that first gen copy was posted on the Rocks Off torrent tracker by Open-G.

But what we have here is a partial soundboard.

I have a master cassette recording of Aberdeen 1982.
Once I get my Hifi system back together I will be able to compare.
Indeed Mathijs is correct it was Hismajesty that brought this to IORR. The title was 'Masters of Drama'I have this also but unable to compare at the moment.
If anyone else has this and the time to compare the markers, should be easy to confirm 100% if the Soundboard section is definetly Aberdeen.

I have somewhere in my VHS collection the TV morning news from the day after the show from French TV A2 presented by Patrice Drevret including comments and extract from the show, maybe 2 minutes. This stock is far from my home and I will go early next year to watch it and share here. BUT IF someone else can do it ...

This tape is partly SBD, whereas the HisMajesty tape is audience.

Yes, but the audience part from Let Me Go onwards is the same.

I'm confused. Here is what info says,

This is a re-seed from the Rocks Off tracker called "Masters Of Drama". The quality is very good audience. I've re-tagged the flac files.
Thank you very much to the original uploader, Open-G.

It has been a very very good surprise for me, especially regarding the rarity of the show and the poor quality of the source that circulated before.
I've joined two songs - Start Me Up and Jumping Jack Flash - from this alternate source, not included in the original torrent.

I used to have these two tracks and they were joined to the show introduction as I remember. And yes they were different from Masters of Drama.

However in your upload above these 2 tracks are from the same source as the rest. At least I can't hear any difference.

My upload above was meant to satisfy the request for Masters of Drama. The two tracks mentioned later prompted by the quote from one of the text files were additional tracks from another source. That is what I remember. It is difficult to figure out who uploaded these alternatives given the two info files and uploaded. The original thread about masters of drama meander for 13 pages. I can just offer what I think zi remember. Maybe somebody else still has them?

This is the info I've got on my harddrive about masters of drama:

Capitol Theatre Aberdeen, 26th May 1982,

The concert in Aberdeen was the first of three special 'preview' shows before the European Tour, that began a month later.
They choose Aberdeen as some quiet and out of the way to get their show together.

I stand corrected, I thought the tape from His Majesty was SB as well. My name is even on the bootleg, but I have no memory of what my involvement exactly was...
