That picture of you strapping up the gear is really amazing, looks like some kind of mad bomber or something lol. I would imagine if you were to release a finished version before the tour ended some little fly by night bootlegger label would claim it as their release and start selling it which is a crap deal for Hoserama with all the time and effort involved, especially being as generous as he has been with sharing his recordings for free of other artists over the years, Not to mention the band’s management I’m sure frowns on bootleg labels profiting on their music.

I know of three folks who ran mics for the show. I was actually playing with one of the audience recordings last night, nice tape recorded in front of a speaker stack on the floor.

Buy 8x IEM receivers (at about $1,400 a pop). Show up eary in afternoon for soundcheck to try and identify feeds. Sneak in the 8x packs + recording equipment past security. Needs to be specialized multitrack recorder(s) as opposed to the normal stereo recorders that most AUD tapers run.
Wire everything up. Hit record during show, monitor to make sure everything is working ok and hope that your blood sacrifice to the taping gods in the morning was enough.

Having listened to this recording,whilst I prefer the guitars to be more forward in the mix ,I now have a better insight of what Chuck brings to the party .Yes I know the are plenty of Chuck haters of the plink plonk. but this highlights how really a great piano player he is.

Well that soundcloud mix has Darryl feed included in the mix. The keys mix did not, just the two keys players and a little of Micks feed.

Interesting to listen to such a Chuck-heavy mix. It does reinforce for me that I just don't like his style. I know we've had this debate countless times here, but man, just compare the piano on this version of Tumbling Dice to the Racket performance where Matt handled those parts. That was the best performance of TD I've heard in years, and his playing was a big part of the reason why.
That of course doesn't mean Chuck isn't talented. He's a fine player, and by all accounts a lovely guy too.
