My turn to share...

First I'd like to thank the owners of IORR. Love this site!!

I'd like to also thank all the folks who share their shows/mixes with us fans...

Love the Stones. Here's "All down the down the line" with an emphasis on the guitars as best as I could. Its from King Biscuit - Brussels Affair Quad mix.

[drive.google.com]

AI has changed the game and look forward to the shares...Rock on, baby!!

Forgot to say that the mix is on the right channel, which is Keef...

Call for ground rules for AI use in mastering

Obviously this site attracts a lot of people who know (for better or for worse) how to play with sound. Clearly this has been a divisive topic, and while some results are welcome, others are not.

With the accelerating proliferation of AI tools the situation will only become more contentious, so maybe this is the right moment to discuss some ground rules about what is, and what is not acceptable and desirable and define what is considered genuine and improved, and what as viewed as pollution of the source pool.

I have no opinion either way, but I call on those who are much more proficient at mastering audio, and whose work we all have enjoyed here, to try to lay down here some principles which should guide future work in his area and hopefully come to an agreement, which will help us avoid damage to the pool, but also avoid squabbles of the sort we have seen frequently of late, without depriving us of the benefits of the new technology.

mm2053 - you seem to babble a lot for having "no opinion". With people like you this site will dry up. Wait and see...

Meanwhile this is free, but you write 3 paragraphs. Give me a break.

You are a clown and are probably surprised that other people have access to modify files. Year is 2024 and not 2004.

Wake up!?! Stuff is at our finger tips....
