Instead of calling out tapers, why not join them? Go record some concerts and contribute with field work.

I really doubt it, at least in the way alluded to in the previous thread. But there are pretty much some form of audience recording of most shows.

I can tell English isn't your first language but unless you only listen to the Rolling Stones I bet there is plenty near you.

it's not completely 'lossy' but it's beautiful.

I don't dare to show it in the forum 'IORR' anymore.
Because of too many and too unfriendly people?

i can't speak for everyone here but i don't hate you or doubt that your a fan

but i am maybe a little angry with you for not stopping when the tapers asked you to for years

it's cost us a lot of quality recordings and possibly iems as well

i'm sure few are going gonna complain if you keep creating and sharing things from youtube recordings (i do too i know how fun it is) and some tapers might even approve of you remastering there recordings if you ask first

i might even download a few myself but we need to move on from this

it also might help a lot if you just say your sorry to the taper community you say you love

if you do love them then please apologize and keep your promise

please please do this as a fellow fan i implore you so we all can benefit

there's not much time left for us to enjoy the band it's almost over and this nastiness has caused many of us to miss out

maybe if you take this simple step you, me and everyone can enjoy quality recordings from this tour and maybe the from other recent tours as well

but i stand by what i posted

and i'm also not interested in getting involved in a back and forth drag out fight like your ones with dapsy

Hi retired_dog, yes, it is true. I've been observing this soap unfold since 2013. In fact it's even longer than I stated as of course 2013 - 2024 is 11 years not 8-9. My bad maths.

Dapsyknows stated last week that this all started with an Edtyre recording on the last tour. That's nonsense. He did make a fuss about a recording rsk altered by Ed tyre but again, there was no "Please don't touch" notice in that posting.

Dapsyknows seems to be trying to manipulate (as he did in 2013*) the situation where 'you' might find a metamphorical parking space (a recording) with no visible restrictions signposted and then are expected, by the all overseeing Dapsyknows, to go running round looking for a policeman or traffic warden to make sure it's ok to park?

* Again, he didn't put a "Do not change" notice on his recording in 2013 either but expected rsk to be psychic and to have sought permission anyway. Wow, talk about big ideas about oneself.
(Unknown on iorr before that.

If it hadn't caused so much bad feeling it would be funny/kafkaesque.

They are not mine to share. Most tapers respect the wishes of other tapers to share or not. If and when they decide to share them is not my call.

There are at least 3 good Seattle sources.

At least old_dog and eddybiword are consistent and misinformed as usual. For two dudes who watch and listen from homer maybe they should get out more.

And just to be clear Eddy my info files going back well over 10 years ask that there are no remasters. It was not explicitly posted on the Dime thread but if the info file had been read it would have been seen. There have also been other remasters where the taper is not on IORR so they didn't respond on IORR. If someone asks the taper whether they mind they will often get a yes with a caveat of let me listen first before it is shared. The general FU, once it's out you have no say has the effect of tapers saying FU I won't share. I know you don't like me and frankly that matters to me as much as my desire to hear a poor remaster. Maybe you should get out yourself and try to do what we do. I look forward to your results.

It is getting there.
Daspysays and friends seem to think recording at a concert is the only way to contribute to the board. I have not seen them thank rskinno for his 19 or so boxes. Personally, I haven't found much new to me material in his boxes but I have been collecting for awhile. Usually it's a new to me radio recordings. But lots of others value his contributions.

Daspysays and friends also seem to think taping is a special experience. To me it seems like going to a restaraunt and taking photos of the food with a phone. I would rather just have a good time in the moment and maybe get a little drunk and hope I didn't disturb a trapper.

Two points while I am at it. Daspysays and friends forget that rskinno improved the New Orleans tape. It would help restore peace here if one of the daspy gang reposted it here. And one of the daspy gang made a big deal about lineage requirements on torrent sites like dime. One of the good things about iorr is if you come across something in your collection and don't know the lineage or it is mp3 you can share it here.

Got to sign off now before daspysays sends the smokies. A big ten four.
