Just indicating that rskinno's uploads lack of precision: lineage, job done, wondering why one can't test with EAC if its lossy or not, and so on.
That's what I'm missing.
And especially, not respecting the tapers' wishes
Sure rskinno wouldn't be able to share anything at Dime or TTD, where lots of us are glad to find real tapers.
That said, if you're satisfied and happy with that, why not?

Oh well, it's your time .....

I've got to point out once more though. I've watched the "without taper's consent" issue roll out for 9 years here. To my knowledge he's only gone against the taper's "consent" twice. Everybody else has given consent or not cared.
The first was an accident 9 years ago, primarily because the taper didn't indicate anyone needed consent. (Need for consent - Unkown on iorr before that).
And second, Little tendy's New orleans - not 100% sure why but the fact is, he did improve it despite the taper claiming that was not possible.....so, really, where's the crime? .. I mean if he'd really screwed it up - but he didn't.
You would think the taper might say "Wow, I didn't think that was posible, thanks" but no. Just an onslaught of nothingness.

just a quick comment, its more than twice, the last couple of tours also have been done without consent, against the tapers wishes, one of the reasons daspyknows and fellow tapers have not posted their recordings here.

what herve is pointing out is that rsk is taking lossy material from youtube, without any attribution (lineage), making a wav and converting to flac (not always successfully), converting lossy material this way is not magically making it lossless, its what is known as polluting the trading pool, if you remember the days of trading tapes in the post. Herve is having to check everything because he doesn't trust what is made available and trust is at the centre of this argument.

none of rsk's material would be accepted at the torrent sites because it doesn't meet any of the standards required by them, garbage in garbage out.

people have to therefore download at their risk as to what they are getting. If your content with lossy material that's fine, you just have to hope that having spent the time downloading, it will play ok, obviously in herve's eac extract, not always the case and if you still burn to cd not at all.

Some people have high standards. Others have no standards. We can see from this thread who falls onto each category. Only thing missing from this file set is bad artwork. Give it a few hours.

Is there no way there can be something done to prevent this from keep happening?

Untrue, as you pointed out, dapsyknows et al haven't posted here for years and no other taper who has posted has complained.....(except the very recent New Orleans show by Little ted - ......"the last couple of tours"?...point me to one show from the last couple of tours that has been metaphorically "raped".......so?...........Every single one, to my knowledge, has been done either with consent or the taper didn't care.

Show me, if I'm significantly wrong and it has been a big ongoing problem, of course, I'll apologise and stfu. I can't remember even one. The only complaining has been about something that is not actually happening.

That's exactly what I've done, telling what was missing (lineage), looking if if was lossy or not, and so on... and what Travellin' Man didn't understand... I hoped RSKINNO would understand, too, but he doesn'nt, still sharing without lineage, lossy or not, TouTube sourced or not. Sorry for that! But I'll keep on looking for what I get and telling the IORR community what they download. Hope you won't mind, never intend to forbid you and enjoy any download, as long as you know what you got.
And what about (I think) the need of creating buzz? Not my issue...

Me personally, I never use torrents, uploading or downloading. My ISP told me back in 2010 that if I did they would cut me off. As there was plenty on iorr to download I didn't pursue it with a different ISP and never been interested since.
If I had something new I would upload no problem.
I always thank uploaders.

If someone is looking for something and I can help I will, either by directing them to links in Stonesvault or if it's not in there (very occasionally) I will upload mine (whatever it is) but as I say, there's so much in Stonesvault, it's very rarely that I do that. (and that probably explains why there are not many old Stones shows uploaded here..... Multiple versions of most are already in the vault.

In Germany there is a new limit with WeTransfer - it only allows 20 downloads if the uploader is a free user. So I guess this limit was reached quickly.

Better download the videos (from which skinno took the audio from) in 4K, then you will have the real thing.
