Thanks so much for posting this. It was our first Stones concert and having the audio is a nice memento. Hopefully it won’t be only show.

It’s here.

Thanks !

Ah that' the Farve4 we discussed at length in the "Dime" topic, thought it was another one, my bad for not reading until the end !

So is the jury still out on whether it's an IEM/Audience matrix ? Mick's voice sounds strange at times with "distortion", it's quite audible when he talks at 4:40 in Angry, could be an interference in the IEM feed...

in my opinion it's an iem matrix and a damn good one at that

Unless he bought or borrowed iem gear for this show it's not an iem. As par as folks I know in iem circles, they are laughing at this discussion. Maybe someone should pm him on Dime and ask.

I myself laugh about iem experts who think that iem is better then an ex audience. Only a few listenable iems are out there and they sounds even not authentic. Take my Munich 22 and compare to the iem. Hans

huh

i guess that settles it (at least for me)

just out of curiosity what's your opinion of the quality of this recording?

is it as exceptional as we all seem to think it is?

Assuming no mp3 lineage, you can see if there's any iem lineage with the presence of the 19khz pilot tone. Should be pretty easy to see in a DAW.

That said I agree with daspy, and highly doubt there's iem in the works here.

If this is a straight audience recording I have to say it's amazing how clear the separation and sound of each instrument is. I can believe this would be more possible at a concert where the audience remains quiet. Would be interesting to know the answer of the source.

So am I the only hearing this strange interference/distortion on Mick's voice when he introduces the song vote on Angry at 04:40 ?

A good stack tape, knowing your gear, and some luck on the crowd noise immediately around you can go pretty far.

As the expert on iems I would take your analysis as the truth. For those questioning how good iems/iem audience matrix recordings sound maybe a snippet fron Santa Clara last tour will make the so called experts on here stfu.

Same clip I released before.

That said, I have not checked out the Gillette tape. It should be easy to tell if it had a pilot tone or not.

It's a good recording. not sure I would say exceptional. I don't consider most of mine exceptional either. Compared to most if what has been shared publicly it is one of the better ones. Some of us have higher standards than others. It still doesn't compare to the Santa Clara 2019 sample posted by hoserama.
