I've listened to the official release of Steel Wheels live in atlantic city, and the mix is kind of muddy and overly remixed in my opinion. But I've seen some snippets of the non remixed sound on youtube and it sounded better. Whats the best sounding bootleg of this show? Thanks!

They messed up this release pretty badly soundwise.....Could have been much better just like this earlier release:

Iirc there were 2 versions/mixes of the show : the one for the PPV broadvcast (made by Bob Clearmountain?) and released by TSP on their "black box", and the radio show mix which was bootlegged some time later.
(feel free to correct me if I made a mistake).

I downloaded it from here after being told that it was the best Atlantic City recordings. I don't have any information, but the mix is the same as CC459, and the difference in mastering may make you prefer it differently.
