ISO: "Having a Laugh at Brixton"



I read somewhere, the author thought the solos on the official Stripped bonus track, "Black Limousine" were overdubbed.

Did anyone ever investigate this claim?

Yes, JJF has some sound problems at the end, which are part of the master tape.

All these audience recordings of Brixton 1995 fall short since the soundboard recording has been made available a few years ago.
Having a laugh in Brixton was a poor version compared to Welcome to Brixton academy (VGP).

I rarely collect audience recordings. Having a Laugh at Brixton was a better recording of a great show. I wasn't aware of the other boot releases of this show.

I deleted Having a Laugh at Brixton when Totally Stripped was released.

I read somewhere, somebody thought they overdubbed the lead solos in the Black Limousine Stripped bonus track. I never thought to compare an audience recording of the Brixton show to the CDS bonus track.

Did anyone ever do this comparison?

If there were overdubs on the "Black Limousine" version that was released in 1995, there are probably not on the "Totally Stripped" Brixton. For instance, "Angie" from Paris had (important) overdubs on "Stripped", but none on the "Totally Stripped" set.

Listen to the actual live version and then the B-side - they really rearranged it with editing and mixing. Bizarre.
