THE NEW BARBARIANS :

This series is dedicated to The New Barbarians who played two concerts in Canada, nineteen shows across the United States in April - May 1979 (and January 1980) and also supported Led Zeppelin at the Knebworth Festival 1979.
A big thank you to all the people who recorded these shows and who shared them and to my two accomplices nzb and Jaap (Stonesmuziekfan) who gave me the benefit of their versions of these shows and their advice and support ... and therefore without whom this project would not have been possible.

All the circulating versions from this shows come from a soundboard recording first released by the C2C-label as ‘Barbaric’ (C2C 11).
Here I used the version from the Exile-label called “California Grooving” (EXCD002A.
I didn’t have much to do here except for declicking and reworking the transitions between the tracks that now start with the song.
Note a fade in/out before ‘Breathe On Me’ (the first seconds are lost).
I deleted a little noise at 0’06 in ‘I Can Feel The Fire’.
