POST: THE NEW BARBARIANS - Vol 07 - 29 April 1979 - MILWAUKEE

THE NEW BARBARIANS :

Early April - 11th August 1979
This series is dedicated to The New Barbarians who played two concerts in Canada, nineteen shows across the United States in April - May 1979 (and January 1980) and also supported Led Zeppelin at the Knebworth Festival 1979.
A big thank you to all the people who recorded these shows and who shared them and to my two accomplices nzb and Jaap (Stonesmuziekfan) who gave me the benefit of their versions of these shows and their advice and support ... and therefore without whom this project would not have been possible.

Line-up: RW (gtr, voc, harm, sax, pedal steel)/KR (gtr, voc, p)/Ian McLagan (p, org, bvoc)/Stanley Clarke (bass)/Bobby Keys (sax)/Joseph ‘Ziggy’ Modeliste (dr)

C°] The CONCERTS
Vol 07:
29th April 1979
MILWAUKEE
Milwaukee Arena

29th April 1979: THE NEW BARBARIANS. Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Milwaukee Arena.

CD1:
01 - radio announcement
02 - intro
03 - Sweet Little Rock 'n' Roller
04 - Buried Alive
05 - Infekshun
06 - Mystifies Me
07 - F.U.C. Her
08 - Rock Me Baby
09 - Sure The One You Need
10 - Breathe On Me
11 - Let’s Go Steady Again
12 - Apartment Number Nine

CD2:
01 - Honky Tonk Women
02 - Love In Vain
03 - band introduction
04 - Lost And Lonely
05 - Come To Realize
06 - Am I Grooving You
07 - Seven Days
08 - Before They Make Me Run
09 - encore break
10 - Jumpin' Jack Flash [+ reprise]
11 - outro

For this show we had two transfers coming from the same source. The first one is the more commonly circulating and the other one is coming from a cd-r trade years ago (sorry I don’t remember the lineage). This latter one had the best sound, is lossless and pitch corrected.
I equilibrated the channels (+20 to 40% for the right channel) and I amplified the sound. I deleted a microgap between the tracks and I reworked the transitions between the tracks that now start with the song.
The radio announcement has to be accelerated by +3,6% but the speed for the show seems to be correct.
We assume that ‘I Can Feel The Fire’ was not played in this show!

BONUS:

As bonus we included here the two soundboard tracks coming from the soundcheck in the Milwaukee Arena:

12 - Let’s Go Steady Again
13 - Run Rudolph Run
This reworked version is coming from the cd n°3 of the ‘Drug Dealer Tapes’ (EVSD 198).

As usual all the infos are taken from The Complete Works Of The Rolling Stones database by Nico Zentgraf: [www.nzentgraf.de]

from now, 'Goopics' seems out!
