but it's much easier to use and set up

the free version allows 30 videos to be downloaded a day

as for bugs nothings perfect but these work pretty well and are regularly updated

you can do that with youtube-dl too

its just more complicated

but 4k is just much easier

also i don't know if this us know the free version or not but it can download subtitles with youtube videos including auto translated ones in other languages

I recommend Jdownloader2! It is freeware and you can download all original files

Better use yt-dlp since it's more up-to-date and the original youtube-dl wasn't maintained for a long while and was suddenly very slow in one of the last versions.

Jdownloader2 is easy to use and free.

i'll have to try that one too

I use jdownloader2 for many years now, not only for YT-Downloads, but also for downloads from Filefactory etc. You can throw all the links to it and it will download one after the other, even if it takes some days.

Another vote for jdownloader2. A great piece of software.

if you have a Mac you can try MacX YouTube Downloader- it's free and not bad at all
