As an audiophile, (in training) I don't get in too much of a knot with an audience recording if it's lossless or not.

When something is recorded professionally, yes, please give us a proper wav file.
A recording with 50,000 fellow friends clapping, woo-hooing, singing along?

If you're male and are headed towards middle age? I'd be surprised if you could tell the difference between lossless and a lossy recording.

Lineage is elijahmodnar1 youtube video [www.youtube.com] 11 songs and the other 8 songs from his channel.

Although the elijahmodnar1 recording is lossy, it should be keept in a lossless audio codec (PCM, WAV, FLAC, APE, WV...) to preserve the audio quality after audio editing.
You convert m4a to wav for audio editing and then convert to flac to preserve the audio quality.
What is lossless is the codec, not the recording. With FLAC, audio is compressed without any loss. With MP3, audio is lossy compressed. You don't want to reencode with a lossy codec a lossy source.
That´s why audio lossless codecs are used after audio editing... with lossy recorgins, of course.

I think files with a lossy source should not be marked as lossless when they are converted to wav files - for what reasons ever... just my opinion...
but i'm sure recordings with a proper lineage will appear... maybe even iem-sourced? who knows...
